Roxanna Andrews: Hi, I'm sure no one remembers me. I have been gone forever. Between my job and my card business, I just haven't been on FanStory. My stories and poems appear on facebook now and then from years back when I posted them and remind me I haven't written in forever. I can't find my stories, do they get deleted after a while? I hope not. Anyway it's nice to be back.
rama devi: I think I remember you. Welcome back! -
sandramitchell: I remember you! My goodness, I had a shock when I saw your name in my messages, WELCOME BACK!!! -
MissMerri: Glad to see you back Roxanna! Congratulations for winning the Share-a-story-in-a-poem Contest too! Cute story. MM -

Roxanna Andrews: I have been gone a loooooong time. I have a card business where I make and sell cards and it takes so much of my time. But I do miss writing and hope to start again.
    Dean Kuch:

Roxanna Andrews: I'm just seeing you lovely welcome back from oct 5th at 1am. You stay up like I do. Thank you, I hope to start writing but have been so tired. My job is killing me. I'm getting some help so hopefully I won't be so out of it. -

Roxanna Andrews: I just heard the wonderful news about our Maureen! She is awake and talking. She still needs lots of prayer, but I'm so happy to heard she has come so far, thank you Lord.
    Selina Stambi: Amen. -
    Selina Stambi: Amen. -

Roxanna Andrews: I am having to take another break from Fanstory. I have developed carpel tunnel, well I've had it before so maybe it is just flairing up, but I need to rest from the computer and typing and all. I'll be back, as Arnold once said. =}
Selina Stambi: And she rode off into the Fanstory sunset ...:) -

Roxanna Andrews: Haven't been spending as much time on the site. I'm tryning to get an online store ready, selling my books and cards. Haven't been writing much either. I still have one book to get published hopfully soon, just one more story needs illustrations. Then I'll be done book publishing for a while.
Shirley B: Best of luck to you. -
Larry5000: Did you get your on line store up yet for your cards and things? Would very much like to see it. Please let me know. -

Roxanna Andrews: Merry Christmas to my wonderful FanStory. I hope you all feel the blessings of the season. Rox

Roxanna Andrews: I did something today that gave me great pleasure. I gave 95 of my books to a homeless ministry. My friend runs it, Word on the Street Ministries, and does an amazing work with the homeless. I asked him if he would like some books and he was thrilled. It gives me warm fuzzies to know a little homeless child will have a nice book for Christmas.
adewpearl: How lovely of you :-) -
DIS-illusioned: Please, tell me those books are made of rice and veggies, morph into tents at night time and can be wrapped around one's self when one feels cold--please! -
Roxanna Andrews: No DIS, I'm afraid they don't, but if it makes you feel any better, our office at work did collect all those things and gave them to the director of the ministry. In fact my dept won a popcorn party for donating the most. So they can read the books in a warm tent, with a warm blanket in a warm coat, with an nice flashlight. Word on the Street takes care of all needs including food. The director takes amazing care of 'his people' and even homeless kids like new books. =} -

Roxanna Andrews: Book #2 will be out next week, The Adventures of Super Pig, two. It is a rewrite of some stories from my first 2 books. I hope book #3 will be out by the end of the year. Just a publishing fool. =}
Selina Stambi: Congratulations! How exciting!! :) -

Roxanna Andrews: My book "Izabella's Christmas Dream" should be out any day now and my second book "The Adventures of Super Pig, Two" is at the publishers. My rep called me yesterday and was so blown away by the artwork, he kept saying, "This artwork is very impressive." Really made me excited to see the book in print.

Roxanna Andrews: My proof copy is in the mail on it's way to me of "Izabella's Christmas Dream" A Super Pig story. So exicited!
Selina Stambi: How deliciously exciting! I always knew pigs would fly ... some day! :) -

Roxanna Andrews: Got a note from my publishing rep. My book is in production and I should have a proof in a week or 2. Oh goodie!!

Roxanna Andrews: I just spent the past 2 days at Willow Creek Leadership Summit. Wow!!! The speakers were amazing times 10. I highly recommend going. Plus they had the guy who plays the earth harp. REALLY amazing!! Just google it. It's over for this year, but you can sign up now for next year.

Roxanna Andrews: I changed my profile picture to a pic of a card I made. It is a little girl reading to her teddy bear. The book was blank so I made it into a Super Pig book. =} Love these stamps, so cute!

Roxanna Andrews: My profile picture is new artwork for my book, This Is A Job For Super Pig! It's for the story Super Pig and Sheldon Sea Turtle. It's my favorite story. I'm so excited for the book to be published! Can't wait!

Roxanna Andrews: Oh man, trying to review enough posts to get enough money to promote my biblical poem series is giving me a brain hernia!
nor84: Review the highly promoted things on the Home Page. -
Evelyn Fort Stewart: It's a real trip for an 86 year old woman with macular degeneration to read enough reviews too. A brain hernia? I wonder what had happened. Smile. God loves you and I do too. -
Selina Stambi: Dropping in to say hello. Appreciated the lovely review you gave me, Roxanna! Hugs to you xxx :) -
barkingdog: Does the brain hernia come before, after or during the swimming eye-ball thing? -
whispering fox: hey Roxanne i have a new poem i'd love you to review it if you like its called 'someday' -
david bell: Don't give up, let God give you strength. -
david bell: YOUR BOOKS ARE IN THE MAIL PLUS A SURPRISE. THANK YOU -

Roxanna Andrews: Well I can't get my profile picture to change. It is supposed to be a cute frog in a pocket. Just use your imagination.
adewpearl: It can take many hours before the change appears. You might be pleasantly surprised by tomorrow :-) -
Joy Graham: Try the refresh button. Might also try cleaning out your cookies. Two suggestions from Tom that have worked well for me. -
    Debra White: I can see your frog! You're right, he's cute ;D x -

Roxanna Andrews: My profile picture is from my book due out in May sometime. "Izabella's Christmas Dream". I have posted it here, but this version is a bit longer as it is a single story book. It is part of the Super Pig series as well. Izabella is a little frog who dreams about the Baby King and in her dream she tries to find a gift to give the Little King. I just turned it in and haven't heard from the pub if it meets all the criteria for publishing. I'm sure there will have to be edits, but it is so close to being published. I'm very excited about this esp since the pub contacted me.
redrider6612: What publisher? Did they contact you in response to a query? -
Roxanna Andrews: @redrider6612 it is Tate publishing. I sent them a story 2 yrs ago and they contacted my about 3 mos ago and wanted to publish it.
    -

Roxanna Andrews: I signed with an indi publisher to do two Super Pig books! So excited! Now to choose which storie will go in the books. They are all just so good, how do I choose? =}
Anthony Crosbie: Well done for being brave and going for it. I hope you do really well and get lucky! May be worth investing in a 'How to market' book as well. They are fun stories so should be fun to market as well. Archie -
    Roxanna Andrews: Thank you Archie.
    -

Roxanna Andrews: Hey I got one of my poems on the home page under well received. Wow, I finally made it.

Roxanna Andrews: I finally get a "Recognized" ribbon for a poem and it's about cleaning toilets! That is just tooo funny!

Roxanna Andrews: I just love my funny poems.

Roxanna Andrews: I'll be off the site for a week, I go to CA to see my sister who has only a short time left on this earth. It may seem the cancer has won, but God numbers our days and He is always victorious! I will see her again, happy and cancer free.
redrider6612: I will keep you both in my prayers. I lost my little sister to leukemia in 1994 and I know how hard it is. May God bring you peace. -
    Roxanna Andrews: Thank you redrider6612.
    -

Roxanna Andrews: Well tomorrow is my sweet great nephews bday party. He'll be two. I told him to stop growing up and he hasn't listened. Kids today. His picture is in my Sweet Boy poem if you want to see what a cutie he is.

Roxanna Andrews: I have been so tired the past week haven't been reviewing or writing. Hope to get back to it. Don't know why I'm so tired, must be all the hard work I do.
DIS-illusioned: Do get some rest, Roxy. We here are relatively unimportant...especially me. *Sigh*
    Heehee! :) -
Roxanna Andrews: Thank you DIS. =} I don't think you are unimportant at all. We all have great value to God and many people including me. -

Roxanna Andrews: I came in second or something, in a contest. There was a tie or first and a tie for second so I guess I came in second. I was really very happy about that. But of course my poem was really the best. =}
William Walz: Nothing like tooting your own horn. -
redrider6612: I like your confidence, Roxy. You go, girl! -
Roxanna Andrews: Well William I have to be honest. =} And thank you redrider6612. =} -

Roxanna Andrews: I can't keep up with my Sport Blog, Personal Blog and stories for this site. I'm way behind in reviews. I need another pair of eyes and maybe another brain?
Lady & Louis: I know that feeling, and I've only this site and a blog, neither of which is getting much out of me at present! :P -

Roxanna Andrews: I'm feeling a bit sad tonight. It doesn't look like my new Super Pig book will be out anytime soon. Dummer. But it could be a good thing, I shall wait and see.
Sally Carter: Super Pig - great name -
DIS-illusioned: And Grandma said pigs would never fly.
Hang in there, Rox. No 'ham' will come to what you've 'sow'n. 'Bacon' us to read when that pork is well done and out. :) -
Roxanna Andrews: You are so clever DIS. =} I'm waiting to see how things work out. -

Roxanna Andrews: My computer at work keeps reverting back to an old screen and the new one has to be reinstalled every day!! I'm a most sick of it. I think my computer may be possessed.
Sally Carter: Needs to be repossessed by the sound of it. -
DIS-illusioned: Maybe it's a subliminal message; look to the past for ... 'something'.
    :) -
Roxanna Andrews: Stupid computers. =[ -
Marja G: I usually call my daughter who is computer whiz when I have problems with my computer. However she doesn't move particularly fast when I do. -

Roxanna Andrews: This may sound like bragging, but really it's not, I just love my funny stories and poems. I read them over and over and I crack myself up.
Lady & Louis: I envy you that, Roxanna! I don't much like reading my own stuff at all ... which is a pain in the backside for editing! -
DIS-illusioned: You've just hit on the essence of writing, my dear Roxanna ... before commercialism reared its ugly head. :-/
Write on! And cherish your right to enjoy them. :) -
Roxanna Andrews: Hi Dis, nice to hear from you again, even if it is a little depressing. Hope you're doing well. I can tell you are. =} -
Marja G: I relate to your comment about reading your own funny stories. This habit also applies to some of my emotionl stories especially the one about my father called "Going Home", about his experience as a German slave during WW2 having to choose to immigrate than go back to Poland to his family because of Communism. My daughter, who is 24, and I cry almost every time we read it. -

Roxanna Andrews: Wow! I won a contest! I'm so shocked. I guess it's not really a good thing to be totally shocked over winning.
cephira: Congrats on 1st place in the writing prompt contest I created - A Hero's Legacy. Enjoyed reading your entry! Hope you enjoyed my prompt!
All the best - Cephira -
DIS-illusioned: That was your 'complimentary' win as a newbie. Congrats! :) -
Roxanna Andrews: Thank you cephira, I did enjoy it, very fun and DIS-illusioned you really must work on getting illusioned again! =} -
Marja G: Congratulations on your achievement. This is icing on the cake of writing. -

Roxanna Andrews: I decided to use my real name instead of a code name. I guess I want people to be able to buy my books and say, "Hey, I wrote a review on this story." Wouldn't that be fun. You can say you knew me when....
Grammies: Just as long as you're not the one who:
    Rode off into the sunset...
    Took my girl....
    Gambled all our savings....
All these plots are making me dizzy! -
DIS-illusioned: Ahh, dreams! ... They usually never come true, you know.
    Happy writing! :)) -
Roxanna Andrews: Oh DIS-illusioned, what has happened to make you so? -
DIS-illusioned: Reality, my dear. It bites, and snaps us back from lala land. Mmmmm...*Sigh*
    :) -
Roxanna Andrews: Well maybe Super Pig can help. =} -

Roxanna Andrews: I'm driving myself crazy trying to make my stories 'perfect'. Why can't I stop and just be happy with them. Everyone else is.
nor84: Writing is an ongoing learning process. Always seek to improve. Maybe your muse is telling you that something needs to be changed and he or she isn't reaching you. -
shelley kaye: i can never leave anything alone for long.... i'm always going back and changing something in something lol :-P

    -
DIS-illusioned: 'Cause deep in your literary spirit--where your muse resides--you 'know' it 'should be/can be' better.
In my humble opinion, satisfying your literary soul is more important than satisfying your readers.
Creative writing is a sweet struggle. Trudge on. :) -

Roxanna Andrews: I'm a football fanatic so my favorite quote is by one of my favorite football players Tim Tebow. It is from is book, "Through My Eyes." I highly recomment it, talk about inspiring. When I heard this quote I thought of Super Pig and how she wants to be so much more than just an ordinary pig.

Roxanna Andrews: I write kid's books, Adventures of Super Pig. They are a bit silly, fun, and I hope build a bit of characture. My publisher went bankrupt so am starting over and now I have a second chance to improve my writing as well.

5-7-5 An Introspection In Seventeen Syllables Moments I Have Lived
I have found it rather amazing that an existence of time can be expressed in such few words and yet provide a specific and definitive explanation.

Great reviews:
Raw with emotion - love and pain, regrets and hope, truth and tragedy. It touched me at points, made me choke up.
