"djcoomes" considers writing about oneself in third person much too pretentious. She'd rather be herself....

My writing expertise, spanning more than twenty-five years, has primarily been centered on advertising copy and public relations material. The work I created commercially was used in brochures, sales support materials, catalogs, media releases, speeches, commercials for radio and television, scripts for slide presentations, video productions, and interactive programs. In addition to the commercial work, I've written two novels, and started two others. Regrettably, unpublished as yet. I love writing poetry and especially rhyming, metered poetry, which is not very popular today. In the last couple of years, I've discovered I enjoy writing short stories; for a while I thought that I didn't. Add a few articles written on this or that, a song or two and that concludes my repertoire. The other day I had a fortune cookie that said "My talents would soon be recognized by the world." I mean. . . is that a sign or what? Look for me on the New York Times Best-Selling List soon!

Writing is a passion, but my love of animals sometimes tips the scale in the other direction. I do love them all, but dogs, horses and cats are at the top of my list. One last thing. . . spay and neuter your pets. Every nine seconds a homeless, unwanted, companion animal is destroyed. Living beings are not disposable! Adopt a homeless pet and support your local animal shelter. They can always use financial help and volunteers. WRITE ON!
