darknessgone: Just wanted to let everyone know, I was diagnosed with cancer last year and my fanstory lapsed. I just paid for it again, I'll be posting new stuff very soon! I'm still going through chemo and radiation and sadly it's not looking too good but since writing is my main passion......I'M BACK!!!!
Shirley B: Glad to have you back. Best of luck with the chemo. -
Imogen JH: Oh bless you. One of the biggest driving forces when we go through adversity is the urge for normality. If being back on 'Fanstory' gives you the lift you need, may you enjoy every second. -
evilynne: Don't ever give up. Welcome back! I am not familiar with your writing but will look it up soon. -
mrsmajor: Never give up, keep fighting on, put your pen to paper, and bring your words to us...
    Welcome back, God Bless You...
    Hugs, -
Bojenn: Hugs and smiles, smiles and hugs... -

darknessgone: Just wanted to let everyone know that I have been without a computer, I will have my laptop back tomorrow, so I can finally answer all my reviews. I'm using my mom's tablet and it's annoying typing with it! LOL! So sorry! I killed my laptop from a seizure. :)

darknessgone: What's a Seal of Quality? Is it the same as All Time Best? I'm just curious.....
Sandra Stoner-Mitchell: The Seal of Quality is awarded my professional reviewers who decide whether your work is good enough to be sold. Your work has to be up to a professional standard. The All Time Best is given if your work is well received, ie: had more than 25 reviews. To get a better idea of this, go into your menu, click on 'certificates' and scroll down to where it says, SoQ. You will see lots of other information there, too. I know it is a couple of months late, but a big and warm welcome to FS. It is a very addictive and wonderful place to be. xsx -

nor84: You apply for a Seal of Quality. Look in My Menu at the top of your screen and choose 'my certificates'. Scroll down until you see Seal of Quality. Before you purchase one, however, check out the rules because there are minimum word counts and other things that you need to understand. -
    darknessgone: Thanks nor84! :) -

darknessgone: I want to make it easier for people to read my stories. On a few of my reviews it's been mentioned but I'm completely lost on how to do it. Can anyone give me some advice? Pretty please?
vapros: Prose is harder to sell to reviewers than poetry, because it takes longer to read it, review it, get your money and move along. In your own case, I can make a quick observation, after seeing a couple of your posts. Use some white space!! Leave a blank line between paragraphs, and even above and below dialogue. It will make your display longer, but more inviting and more professional-looking. Big, solid blocks of text are a sure way to scare off potential readers. Good luck. -
darknessgone: Thank you so much vapros! I'm very new to all this. I'll definitely try that. :) -

darknessgone: Those of you who get reviews from lynnkah from Fanart on my profile, I want you to know lynnkah is not me, she is my mother. We share the same paypal account when she wants to thank you for using her art she has to via my account. She's the artist not me, lol! She's extremely talented but I do use a little bit of everyone's talent from FAR. Just wanted to clear that up, thank you!

darknessgone: I have a question, the majority of my poetry is dark, I'm unsure what category to list it under when I post it. Some of what I write is deep and may offend some people. Any suggestions of where I should put dark poetry? Thank you!
Acquired Taste: I'm new here as well and only suggest you contact the site. I know there is a designation for mature or violence but am unsure where poetry might reside. If you click on the info bar at the top of your screen the first tag is - Contact Us. Good Luck! -
    darknessgone: Thanks! :)

Dean Kuch: Hey, darknessgone, not to worry! The majority of my writing is dark and controversial, too, and there are categories here that you can place them in. Most of mine generally go into the horror/thriller category. You'll find the tab when you use the editor to post your poetry or prose.

    Welcome!

My poetry is simply a tool I use to let out my emotions. It's sort of my version of a diary. I've been writing since I was young and I enjoy it to this day, it's my release. I have to wear a mask in the real world to cover my true emotions but with poetry I can reveal my true self.
