    IndianaIrish: Sorry you feel ignored, Dame. We ALL received only a few reviews when new here and posted our work. You haven't posted anything since May. To get people to read and review our work, we've had to work hard reading other writer's work in order to receive member dollars to post our work with enough reward to make readers want to spend their time to write a review. There are hundreds of writers on this site, and not every post is is even seen by most writers, unless they are fans. If you feel ignored, I don't think you should blame this site. You have to put forth an effort to get your work read and reviewed. You only posted a handful of work since you joined in March, and nothing at all since May. Best wishes to you, but I honestly don't think you gave this site a chance. There are lots of writing sites available and maybe you will find one that suits your writing personality. Good luck! -


damettagin: Does anyone know how to remove entries from the Fanstory contests (not the prompts) ?

None of my work has been Recognized, I know none of it will be a serious contender.
    michaelcahill: They don't go by that in the contests, especially the site contests. Those are blind and all the judges see are the words. You have as good a chance as anyone. -
    nor84: Being recognized means absolutely nothing except that your work has received a certain number of reviews.Based on quantity of reviews, not on quality. As Michael said, you have as good a chance as anyone else to win a contest. The site contests, for which there is no entry fee, have stiff competition. The other contests are voted upon by the membership in the voting booths.

    You can always disable writing by going to your portfolio, choosing the entry, and selecting "disable." There's probably no good reason to do that just because you haven't received enough reviews for an entry to become Recognized. -

    damettagin: I am absolutely STUNNED, got a lot of views on my last entry & some of the works that placed were NOT recognized pieces. Could my words have made a difference ? There could be hope for me yet :) -

damettagin: Actually had 2 people read my Faith contest entry during the judging, such an honor to remain unrecognized :O)


damettagin: I will periodically check in on the contests that I've entered (& won't even place), but after September I will be done. Don't expect to see any more writings for they will never be recognized or read.


damettagin: Every time I feel like falling into the same obscurity my writings have gone... something catches my interest & sparks that little poet inside. Guess I'll stay a little longer...
