comanalbert: Quite a memorable video, wonderful dancing. Can't remember when or how I posted this one, if I did it myself. Which proves once again that my taste blooms while I am...politely unaware( read "beer")

Thanks Santa! May all your whises come true either!
comanalbert: Let her drink! She will reward handsomely! -
Green Lake Girl: Congratulations on your contest win! Wonderful and well deserved. -
comanalbert: Thanks.I owe a lot to 9999pool for all his help and the poem inside. -
9999pool: It was a pleasure working with you. Your stories can touch the hearts of everyone. The emotional descriptive prose are the best i have seen among the others. Congrats on the win. i played only a minor part, smiles.
    Cheerio, Ritchie. :)) -
comanalbert: This site has now become a better place having you amongst us. Welcome back! -

comanalbert: This year I worked daily for 8 hours, my commute(when I read and write) had 4.Not bad.
I have spent 6 hours with my family and slept the other 6 daily. My small wish next year is that God should make those six hours 200 minutes each for the next year. And to keep us sane and healthy.
Thank you in advance, God!

comanalbert: Folks, lads..I have just had a vision...What if this website acquires a Mecena? You know, that decent greek bloke that liked to pay to have writers around him doing their best at the job? Then we could all sit back in some mansion in the Carribeans and just write and review and fatten ourselves in member-dollars and member-cent pumps..I have done my best and called my two best friends:Bill(Gates) and Boris(Johnson), but they seem to be in a "no network coverage area"...
I think Fanstory sits on a golden mine and we need a wealthy capitalist to provide the means to dig it all out...Anyone with me to the Carribeans ?
DIS-illusioned: ...Whatever you spiked your drink with, I want some o' that. -
comanalbert: It is an old recipe running in my family for generations: one unsecure, nasty job,one big stack of bills, add two cans of strong lager and listen to Oscar Benton-"Bensonhurst blues" and you will be there... -
Aiona: One can garnish with an unexpected pregnancy! Adds color and a jolt!
    -
comanalbert: this will have Oscar kill himself by listening to Britney Spears -
    comanalbert: Oh!Congratulations! -
    comanalbert: Oh!Congratulations! -
nelliesellie: We are writers, we pretend we are rich. -

This was posted today as the next non fiction contest.MAY???? What happens until then?
shelley kaye: you write, edit, write, post, edit, edit, edit.... and wait

    ;-)

    -
comanalbert: good...that should keep me busy enough -
adewpearl: Many people don't post or even write their contest entries in the first months after the announcement. They only have a contest in any given category twice a year because these site-sponsored contests offer a hundred dollar cash prize. -
comanalbert: First months? This site is said to have 50 contests a month. All categories, of course, but still 50.Am I to think that for non-fiction, let's say, it would be 2 a month? I am new around so I try to get a better perspective. As for prizes, I am happy with a rubber duck if it is awarded by THE comittee or reviewers vote. -
nor84: There are TWO kinds of contests: Site Contests that pay real money, and Member Contests that are voted on by the members and pay in Member dollars. Pull down the "Contests" tab at the top of this screen to see them. -
adewpearl: Yes, there are far more daily prompts and member-sponsored contests each month than site-sponsored contests. The site-sponsored contests award $100 in real-world money. The daily prompts offer member dollars that can be used to promote your work. So while there are only several site-sponsored winners each month, there are dozens of winners of the daily prompts and member-sponsored contests. -
William Walz: Twiddling of thumbs is definitely called for. -
comanalbert: Good to know.thank you all for feed-back.i will browse more.. -

comanalbert: to all members:Daily Telegraph has a weekly competition awarded 200£.Weekly.In case i am the first to announce, i am satisfied with 10% in member dollars from the winner for the tip.May the best pen win!
DIS-illusioned: Um...my money's on the quill. No, the fountain. Wait, scratch that; Bic. -

comanalbert: In the most explicit sexual content category...just how much explicit can one be without offending anyone on this site? I have received an offer for a quite erotic chapter and I am reluctant to part with it for just any measily sum...i'd like to submit it here first and,if bad reviews or none...give it to charity...it is intended as highly sexual with a touch of sensual erotism..it has a great weight in my project...but i'll dump it if need be...A big thanks to those who answer....
adewpearl: I think when you list it for mature audiences and folks have to state they are not easily offended by explicit content, then you have done your due diligence. Nobody has any business reading something marked that way if they're going to throw a hissy fit over sexual content. -
comanalbert: Thanks.i appreciate and boldly submit.. -
9999pool: As Brooke aka adewpearl rightly put it, we are all adults here and if the ocntent already carries an adult read only warning, no one can be offended if they read, smiles. Brooke is a highly respected figure here so you can take her word for it.
    Cheerio, Ritchie. :)) -
Selina Stambi: I respect Brooke highly as a gracious, thoughtful reviewer and a talented writer... -
comanalbert: Still i am embarrased by writing such a...if those websites that deal in erotic prose will take it for 40£ it is sold...for my project i will just skip those thrusts and screams...i think it kind of stains my portfolio... -
snodlander: On the other hand, you can offend people by spelling 'colour' correctly, voicing the opinion that there may be merit to evolution, or suggesting that 22 degrees C is the optimal temperature for an office. Set the appropriate level for your story. They will be warned in advance when they come to read it. Publish and be damned.

As for embarrassment, I'm with you. The one erotic story I wrote had me blushing all the way through. And the act, when you come to the ins and outs of it, is very repetitive. Fun to experience, but in writing it's all about the fiction, not the friction. best of luck -
comanalbert: ..I started laughing from the "ins" through to "friction" and stopped at the end for misunderstanding the first letter of "luck".Got the point anyway.I am just acting like the bride at the start of the wedding night -
