Magic Wand: Sometimes writing is easy, sometimes hard. Our family has had several personal setbacks since September, and it has brought us closer but these happenings have made it difficult for me to address in my writing. We have lost two family members to Alzheimers and Muscular Sclerosis, with a third member having been diagnosed with Alzheimer's. We lost a beloved pet. Everything seems too raw. But now we have a new baby who has been born healthy after a difficult pregnancy. We recognize how one tiny, unknowing being can become a monumental source of happiness when we allow it to salve our hearts. Life goes on. |

Magic Wand: We had lots of snow this year for the holidays and getting cozy near the fireplace has been helpful to get me busy on rereading and restructuring my projects. Hope you all had as nice a holiday as I had. |

Magic Wand: Been away for awhile settling into a cabin in the Pacific Northwest woods. Just now getting to around actually taking time to edit and and maybe enter a few contests. Have missed all my favorite writers and will try to catch up on their writing while we cocoon into the winter months. |

Magic Wand: I will be moving to a log home in Central Oregon. I will sadly miss my writing friends at Chrysalis. They have helped me in much the same way as Fan Story and I hope to find another critique group there. If any FS people are in Central Oregon, let me know. |

Magic Wand: Anyone on Fan Story from the Central Oregon area? Will be moving there, and would like to connect with another writers' group. I enjoyed the last year and a half with the Chrysalis ladies in Clackamas, Oregon. I learned so much from them as editors, publishers and novice writers got together to read, critique and support. |

Magic Wand: thanks to Fanstory and my writing group, Chrysalis, I feel I am making good progress toward readying my manuscripts for publication. I've attended several writing workshops, webinars, and conferences. I also aligned myself with SCBWI, the children's book author's premier source for guidance. I advise all my friends who have even an inkling of a desire to write, to join a critique group. Don't be sensitive, be receptive. After readiing for my Chrysalis ladies, and absorbing their comments,I have won four contests right here on Fanstory. Write on! |

Magic Wand: I have savored my inner child, often think in rhyme, and am inspired by the many kids around me. I don't write mysteries, true crime or horror, but they are my guilty pleasures when it comes to reading. |
