dkneale is known more frequently as "Debra", and was born and raised in Michigan.
She started writing at the ripe old age of 5, and was noticed at that time for her ability to write as she didn't speak very much...she just wrote instead.
Her writing continued to follow her through life winning several writing competitions like the "America and Me" essay contest in high school. Scholarships for writing followed, but she was not into being a journalist, she wrote for her own personal well being, and learned very quickly that some of her writing became therapuetic to others, and she enjoys helping others.
Debra met someone in life who was very dominate and overpowering to her spirit. This person destroyed most of her writing and would not allow her to write. This caused her to build up inside...Until finally a melt down... After her tragic brush with near self removal of her life she was able to escape her marital prison, and of course started writing again, but this time with a bigger force of emotion and release...
She started working in her community with battered women, and at risk youth teaching them the art of emotional release by using pen and paper, in replacement of self destruction.
Debra is currently in process of writing an autobiography completely in rhymed verse entitled "Therapy In Print". It has been accepted for print. All of her work, thus far is real life situations, and used to counsel others along the way...
So I guess:

Take a moment,
Take your time.
This is my life,
And it's all in rhyme.

Writing gave me the opportunity
To take a second look,
To find out Who I am; Where I stand;
And where I began.

Life has its good times
And bad ones too,
Putting it on paper,
Makes it just a memory for me to view.

Pointing a finger
And placing blame,
Is not what I am doing,
I'm just questioning my name.

I don't want to hurt anyone.
Or stir up old wounds,
But as time passes by,
I was strengthened by gloom.

Life is about choices,
The right aren't always made,
But with all my trials,
My history was paved.

My pain now subsides,
I find pleasure in life;
And I see no more haze,
Covering these green eyes.

And never again
Will I hide my pain,
Or bury it so deep,
That I struggle in vain.

So let me give you
Just one little hint,
The story of my life,
is my
