grassroots08: Today I was thinking about what folks on this site are all looking to read. What sparks their interest that would turn them to a piece I wrote or poem I've composed?

I decided that the work they seem most drawn to are the same pieces that wake me in the middle of the night or early in the morning. They are like prompts, and I must pen them when they are fresh in my mind or chance losing them.

I am penning these lines; I know you're out there. But the question is: Will you respond? I am here each night and the evenings are long without someone to talk to. So if you could find the time, maybe you could join me here.

I am having a cup of coffee and thought you might like some too. I do have other things to offer, if coffee isn't your cup of tea. I am usually sitting and pondering about what has transpired during my day. I can't change any bad decisions, but I can think about improving on them.

I wonder just how many other lonely people are out there? We are the ones who should be getting together, but then we might only succeed in depressing one another. LOL Maybe someone with an upbeat heart could also join us here.

I know I heard a noise. I was hoping it was you. But like so many other nights, it was just the wind that I was hearing. But I will even welcome that; it beats the dead silence. They say messages sometimes come on breezes. Well, I'm listening quite intently now!
