I used to write on here relentlessly. It paid off.

I began writing fiction, and that's where I'm most passionate, but after honing my writing skills on here, I landed a gig on a finance writing site and now have articles syndicated on Yahoo, MSN, etc. The exposure is as high as 33 million readers per month.

I attempted to write fiction on the side. While the ratings for those books are higher than my poker books, they only sell a few copies a month.

When I took the content I had on a poker blog and turned it into an Amazon eBook, that's when the book sales started rolling.

I now have five poker-themed books, and they sell about 5-14 copies per day. However, about 35% of reviews aren't good because those readers don't agree with my poker strategy. These are often math-oriented players. In my opinion, they lack the creativity and the psychological edge. They're also very easy to read at the poker table.

Anyway, I still write these books for the readers who really love them. Poker Notes has been the best received.

I'm working on a book titled Felt Hopper: Florida. The premise is that I hit every poker room in Florida with the goal of turning a profit. Off-the-felt misadventures included. This book also includes ratings for every poker room in regards to Atmosphere, Action, and Dealers. This book is 100% true. I have already completed Central Florida and Northern Florida. I tackle Southern Florida in two weeks. The financial, time, and effort investments in this book have been high.

Since I left a note on my Amazon Author page that the book will be published by Christmas, I'm going to post it for editing purposes on here. I don't care about stars, just feedback in regards to quality, grammar, etc.

If anyone is interested in reading Felt Hopper: Florida, you can click the Follow button on my Amazon Author Page. Believe it or not, I sent Amazon this concept for the Follow button. It took six months, but they implemented it. No, I did not receive any financial reward, or even a free day of advertising on their site (I did ask). Just go to Amazon and type in Tyler Nals.

btw, if you happened to have read The Dark Side of the Felt on here and enjoyed it, then you might like The Poker Office. A lot less poker and much more adventure. It's 100% fiction.

Available on Amazon:

Poker Notes
Poker Blog
The Perfect Range
The Dark Side of the Felt
The Poker Office

Twisted Sick
Rawson's Fun House
Mindful of Tricks
Cove Valley

You can use the 'Look Inside' feature on Amazon to read the beginning of any of the books listed above for free.

If you're on GoodReads, you can become a fan of Tyler Nals. If you're a GoodReads author, then I will return the favor. I'm also on FB under Tyler Nals, and on TWTR under @RealTylerNals

Thanks for reading!
