I recently retired, for the 4th time, from a Tribal school, working with middle schoolers in reading and writing, math (which is not my forte), etc. I spent a career in Fla, working as a consultant in Voc Rehab and in social work and non-profit agencies. I worked years trying to help other people. I spent time as a musician, singer, soloist, conductor, director, actor and church musician. Don't do so much performing anymore. But once you're bitten by that bug, it doesn't just go away. Now I concentrate on writing, poetry and photography. I am writing a series of books on modern Native American adventure, and have one of poetry done. I have a memoir in the works titled "Growing up Southern: The Way it Was Before." I grew up in the old south and moved North to Michigan, the Upper Peninsula, on the Canada border. I moved back South, retired there, then moved back up North to Sault Ste. Marie and remain there, for now. I enjoy reading and reviewing cutting edge writing projects, art, and photography. I can't wait to form those warm artistic friendships and trying to keep up with all the new posts. PS: I love flash fiction, especially 100 words.
