ThePaperThief: Another school shooting in Colorado today....I'm posting something I wrote a year ago, when the Conn. Elementary school was gunned down. I am at a loss for words here, so I'll just leave it to the poem.

Sigh..... sending all the love and goodness I can muster. What a strange place and time we all share...


ThePaperThief: I joined this site in hopes of getting some feedback and to address my fear of sharing what I write. Turns out that I am finding some of the most amazing writers and pieces on this site. I'm so impressed and grateful. Most of all, inspired. So thanks to all!

ThePaperThief: I'm a 34 year old Denver native, writing poetry, short stories and lyrics since childhood. Seeking outlet to share and receive feedback, as I currently suffer from closet-writer syndrom. Must use voice, or perish.... unpublished and unread.. Most likely buried under a mass of sticky notes, crying that no one understands what I write. I have a great story to tell, the promise of a novel, but it will never be if I don't get out there in the land of the lits. Already found great talent here, seems promising. Asking for honest, even brutal critique and (hopefully) some reassurance that I'm not fooling myself. I've used so much paper over the years, it has to count for something, right.
