Rosemary Rains: Oh my, time flies. It's easy to lose track of some facet of life when expediency rears its ugly head. I'm back - hopefully for a while this time!

Rosemary Rains: Not much reviewing today. Still following a couple of books, but no time to do adequate reviews. I did spend an hour or so reading though. Busy rewriting my second memoir so I could post the first chapter today.

Rosemary Rains: Okay, I MUST get going - this is the most addictive on line site I have ever found. But when I return this evening, I'm going to find out what a senyru and a 5-7-5 is.
    shelley kaye: a 575 poem is just that - a poem of three lines with 5-7-5 syllables.

Rosemary Rains: okay, I give up. How do you post a picture in your profile? The include image below seems to only allow a limited array of smiley faces and clip art.
    nor84: It's been too long since I did it. Pull down on the INFO tab at the top of the screen and see if there's a topic. Or maybe someone else remembers. Anyway, I just uploaded a picture from my computer. It wasn't hard to do. -
    Sally Carter: I should try putting your question in the Q and A forum. I'm like Nor, but I think I just went to "edit your profile" to add a picture on your own details. The only thing I've added is to embed a piece of music from YouTube, and I just followed the "embed" instructions under the clip. Good luck! -
    Sarkems: I couldn't do this for ages, and eventually discovered I needed Mozilla Firefox on to upload a picture from my computer -

Rosemary Rains: I'm really loving the feedback and interaction with others on FanStory. I've already recommended it to other writing buddies. I can see where it might get addictive though.

    redrider6612: Honest reviewers are encouraged when people appreciate their reviews. Another way to encourage them is by nominating them for Reviewer of the Month. -
    Sally Carter: Lots of us try to be honest in our reviews, Rosemary. Stay true to the way you would like to be reviewed and you should, sooner or later, find like minded people. If you haven't yet done so, check out the reviewing forum (under "profile" in the purple bar above). -
    Barb Hensongispsaca: I try to be as honest as I can. If I see something and am sure of it I will give a lower rating till corrected or at least proved wrong. Not only do they check but I learn too. Pretty sneakie? -


Rosemary Rains: OK I'm confused! So far I have only seen 5 star reviews. Is this not a "real" review thing? I'm used to grading professional writers on Amazon and Goodreads.com, so I apologize for the less than 5 stars I gave to the first few writings I rated! I guess I will only write reviews on writing that I can give 5 stars.
    nor84: DON'T APOLOGIZE. If you're using the site guidelines and giving less than 5 stars for work that needs revision, then you're doing the right thing. Keep doing it! Some people have earned $100 for reviewing properly while being polite. -
