Phantas: Can anyone tell me what the option "Scripts" is for? I mean, I get what it's for but not what the rules are for it. Or what Scripts should contain. :)

    it tells when the character comes in and how not just what they say.... it is like notes for the for the director and cameramen as well as the actor's lines....

    Tsukuyomi969: I do. I use Disturbed a lot, but I also use some Classical stuff, like Ravel and Svenson. The music and the words imspire the pictures. Is that what you meant? -
    Phantas: yes, it is Tsukuyomi :) Music is a big inspiration for me, perhaps not so much for lyrics but more for mood and atmosphere. I sense a like-mind here...my stories are like movies in my brain sometimes... sometimes they are just glimpses which I elaborate on. -

Phantas: Could someone explain to me the difference in use of "in-", "un-" or "im-" [as in, unthinkable, or improbable] ? I've never quite understood when to use either. Some are instinctively right, but others... O.O ???
    Sally Carter: I don't know if there is a rule, but some are what they are probably because they would otherwise be unpronounceable. INprobable is very hard to day, as would be UMthinkable. Something to do with consonants that can and can't be joined together? -
    Phantas: I don't know...I think those would be the ones that come instinctively, but [as a non-native speaker] I have had times where I've tried all three of them and still didn't know! XD I can't give any examples of the top of my head... and prob I should just look them up when I need to...but I wonder if there's not a "rule" to it... -
    Sally Carter: Reminds me of a conversation I had once with a Spanish teacher when I was learning the language. I just assumed that Spanish children grow up knowing what verb endings to use, from hearing conversations around them. But no he said; they have to learn them parrot fashion the same way we were doing. It made me realise that in many ways English must be a pretty easy language. -
    Phantas: IMHO, it is really... I had no trouble learning English at all :D Spanish...now there's a difficult language! O.O French is nasty too. But it all depends on one's own lingual preference. IMHO. -
    nor84: I've had Spanish lessons and German lessons, and I have to say: English is easier, not because I'm a native speaker, but because we have simpler articles. I can say 'the' as in "Give me the book," without having to remember where the book's gender is male, female, or neuter. Other languages... well, you know. Is it La or El, Der or Die because nouns have gender in other languages, and the article has to match that gender. -
    Phantas: ah yeah.. .I see... Dutch is easy that way too... it's either "De" or "Het" or "Een" ... and that is it. Kinda like English really :p -

    Phantas: DIS... I know... but you could say either "unvaluable" or "invaluable"... unless you know which one is right they both sound quite possible. ThÃÁt is what I am getting at here. I know of some what it is, but I've scratched my head sometimes as to which one to use (in or un, in or im, un or im...). -


Phantas: Posted another two poems today...didn't feel like adding another chapter to Masks right away. Only have one more finished chapter, so I'll hold off until I feel like sharing it.

Phantas: I have a hard time giving a short description of my works, especially with my poems. Sometimes poems just speak for themselves, really... likewise with prose too... anyone else have the same issue?
    DIS-illusioned: I do, sometimes, but compel myself to be creative and come up with an apt brief description. -
    Lady & Louis: Yeah, I've never liked having to fill in the description line. -
    John Lofburger: Of course... if you can describe a work in one sentence, what's the good of crafting it?
    Describe "Macbeth"... Or any of the Sonnets? Describe breathing. Well.. it has to be! -
    John Lofburger: Can't remember whose "writing class" Charles Dickens went to. Nor Henry James. Nor Hemingway. -
    Phantas: well one has to compel oneself because it is required! I understand why it's necessary, just that it's not exactly easy with some of my works. For example the story I'm currently writing and posting on here [Inferno] ... sometimes chapters aren't about a lot really... I try and think of something that will tell the reader what to expect but.... it will get easier as the chapters are added I'm sure. But I don't see the point for most poems myself. That's one of the beauties of poetry... to keep the reader thinking and wondering. -
