Liandra: Has anyone heard of Reel Books Inc or Victoria Foster and Amy Taylor. They offer a chance to have your book evaluated for film. I feel they are genuine but thought I would ask if anyone has any knowledge as to whether I should be wary of them.

    nor84: Check out preditors and editors website. They collect reports of scams. Also, you can search the names online in your web browser, plus the word Scam. Sometimes that turns things up.

    I agree with vapros -- be VERY careful. There are a lot of scams out there. -
    Julia.: I have never, in my many years online, encountered a person or company who offered to evaluate a book for film who was legitimate. Never. And if they ask for a fee, run away. Fast. -


Liandra: After a near death experience, I realised I had discovered a brilliant plot for an adventurous journey through Time and Space.
Arriving from the future and knowing the result of greed deeply embedded into a powerful antagonist, Orion, Sianna'Q, (alias Willow before her initiation,) gathers her allies together. They begin their epic journey and travel through the Time, Space Continuum to Erteisia.

Sci-fi/fantasy, crept up on me while writing Historical Fiction. I had a stubborn character who wouldn't be coerced into entering a portal. I festered on it for weeks. Finally I decided to file it away and write a short story for children, which expanded beyond my expectations.

As the story progressed, I removed the first chapter,'Snow in Winter,' which is waiting patiently to be published for young children.

Over the years I have written many short stories and received many rejections, which served to make me a better writer. I have kept them in their special drawer, they are a reminder that even unpublished I am a writer.
