Nelks: I agree with the replies to my last post on here. Have been off for a while my husband was ill, sadly he died on 9th May. My heart is broken.

As I said I will now review work which is not promoted. I think one's work should stand or fall on its merit and not on how much money is spent on promoting it.

    MacNizzle: I like this idea. I've often started at the bottom of the poet rankings and worked my way up. Amazed at the great work you can find way down there. -
    RebelRose: I think this is a great idea and good news for the poets who cannot afford to promote. I am going to take a page from your book (no pun intended) and do the same. Today, I will go to the bottom and work my way up. That seems only fair and more of us should do that, at least occasionally. Thanks for bringing this to our attention. Have a great day.

Nelks: Haven't been on board for a wee while, personal problems, husband seriously ill. Noticed not one review, which makes me think that Fanstory is all about money, if you pay your work will be recognised and reviewed if you don't, no matter how good or bad it is, it will not be reviewed as people cannot see it to make the judgement. Another wee bugbear is the way you pay and pay to build your work up to the first page and then when the money runs out it falls back to the bottom and you have to start all over again paying to get it back up there. Rant over LOL


Nelks: I have been on the site for around a week now and have done quite a few reviews. At first I was wary of reviews and didn't want to criticise. I have a plan now, I only review what I like and understand. I don't feel I am a seasoned enough writer to criticise others, but I welcome constructive criticism from others, I am a learner.
    kiwigirl2821: Which one of us doesn't learn from what others think? I for one welcome critique if it's fair and honest. If you give someone a 4 or lower just measure it with a suggestion or two as to what would make the work stronger...it helps and you are never going to like everything you read no matter what...none of us ever do! xoxo Kiwi -
    Revamay: I never give anything less than four stars. If I think it needs a lot of work, I skip over it. I don't believe in discouraging any writer. -
