Big Al is a responsible office manager by day and a long - haired heavy metal guitarist and singer by night (when not writing!).

For over ten years, he worked on a fantasy series called "The Chronicles of Grimm Dragonblaster", never getting past the first book. Since joining fanStory.com in January, 2004, he has nearly finished the series.

The first book in the series, "A Mage In The Making", was first published in late 2005, although the publisher closed its doors before the title could make any headway.

However, the title was soon taken up by Whiskey Creek Publishing, and was republished in March, 2007. Seven further books have been published.

The first series consists of the following titles:

Weapon Of The Guild
Questor
Truth and Deception
Dragonblaster
The Dark Priory
Resolution

Now I am working on the first book involving the back-stories of characters who were in this series.

Big Al was the 2004 FanStory.com Author of the Year.

He would like to thank everybody on FanStory for their help, advice and support, which have made the completion and publication of this work a reality.

Following completion of the series, he is considering further, stand-alone books set in the Grimm world. The first of these is likely to be a back-story for Grimm's grandfather, Loras.

Grimm, Dalquist, Xylox, Guy, Crest and Harvel are all ex-RPG characters that I played or faced in my teens playing "The Fantasy Trip". Grimm got so powerful that nobody would let me play him! The other characters are changed out of all recognition. All other characters are new. Hope you enjoy.
