Sonjalee: I have recently received 2 #4's on two rather short poems.no feedback about how to make them better

We need to keep in mind that we, as reviewers, are obligated to give good, constructive feedback, not the poem was tooo short.
    adewpearl: nobody should ever give less than a five without a clear, specific explanation of what they found lacking and would like to see improved. -
    vapros: Brooke, I know that you are the top reviewer here, and I wanna be just like you, but I feel that this attitude is responsible for the perpetuation of the default five-star review. It is the lowest grade permitted, where the reviewer can get away without saying 'Bless your heart!' In many cases, an honest critique might be a killing offense. Sorry about this. -
    FindingTheVoices: umm, I am new and still learning the ways around Fanstory. I will keep in mind to call out specifics. Thanks for this status. -

WOW, wonderfully expressed what it IS to live with Parkinson's disease, your body (temple) not 'obeying' to your needs, nervous system, etc....how hard to accept ! No complaining at all in poem either ! My father, including quite a few friends have it & it renders 'humble' how they all cope with,

Sonjalee: I am still trying to figure this out. When I write here, does everyone see it or just peoople who sign into my profile. How do I ssend it to everyone?
Is the only way people see your poems is if they are being promoted?
    adewpearl: After you first post, your poems appear in Up Next reviewing until you get two reviews, which the site will provide a pay out for. Then, if you purchase no certificate, most people will not see your poem unless they access your portfolio. I access people's portfolios in order to reciprocate reviews, so if you review me, I go into your portfolio to find something of yours to review. There are some other writers who also reciprocate reviews. Another way to get your work seen without promoting it is to enter it into an appropriate contest, and then people can access it through the contest page. You will have to pay to enter daily prompts and member-sponsored contests that have a voting booth, but usually not as much as it costs to buy a certificate. -
    adewpearl: Also, if you have fans following your work, they will be notified whenever you post. -
    redrider6612: There is a section of the forums labeled "Profile Thoughts" where the last 20 or so comments posted on people's profiles can be read. You can find the forums under "Profile" in the lista across the top next to "Info" -


Sonjalee: This is a new web sight for me and I have had some problems understaning a lot of it. I am learning, though.
Poetry seems to just come to me until I try to make it good,HA! Anyway I am having fun and I am learning a lot.
I wanted to let everybody know what I think of the writers and reviewers.
YOU ARE FANTASTIC AND SO SUPPORTIVE. You seem like a wonderful group of people.
I am trying my best to give good, honest reviews. Many times I do not have the magic wand to make it better. The skill and creativity of the writers are excellent.
I feel proud being part of this.
