Interests
sailing, taking spanish lessons, and writing poetry
On Septembeer 5, 2010 my poem, St. Peter's Chapel, was published in the Times-Herald Vallejo newespaper. An article accompanied it stating why I wrote the poem. It is amongst the first poems that I wrote. It has been recognized by "FanStory".
About a year ago a good friend of mine died of brain cancer. It was a tragic loss and I could not find words to write to her husband. I started writing about her in rhyme and I ended up with a poem that my friends said was beautiful. So I started writing more poems and found it to be a wonderful outlet and a great hobby. It is a great release for me to put my thoughts and ideas into poetry and I get really excited when someone reads it and "understands where I'm coming from". I have not taken classes in poetry and you can probably tell, Ha!
I have more time to write because I am now a retired registered nurse. I like the time off but I miss my patients. I am a pest to my friends because I am always trying to help them.
I love sailing and live in Tiburon where we have our 36 foot Jeanneau, called French Toast, in our deep water canal.
I am married and have been since 1967; yeh, same guy.
We go to Puerto Vallarta, Mx a few times a year. I'm trying to learn Spanish.
