My full name is Carolyn Marie Baatz. Born May 1, 1957 in Brooklyn, New York. My sister Loretta and I moved to Springfield, MA to be closer to my brother Charles and sister in law Kathy Byrnes Baatz. I live there now in a studio apartment in a high rise building. I love to garden, my favorite plant is the African Violet. But living in a small apartment my gardening is limited to potted plants. On the bright side my plants flower all year long. I feel proud when people compliment me on my green thumb. I have been physically handicapped for most my life. I use poetry to express my deepest emotions. Writing keeps me in touch with myself. I also enjoy exercising, mainly because it helps me to stay fit enough to do what I love. Unfortunately it hasn't done much for my waistline. I enjoy the ocean, lakes are nice too, but I prefer watching waves. My inspiration is watching Human Nature and Mother Nature.
