Adora Mitchell Bayles has been writing ever since she could hold a stylus in chubby toddler fingers and run little cursive Rs across a page.
Through the years, she took writing courses, sent out a few manuscripts and lived a diversified life.
Not until Adora attended her fifty-year high school reunion in Sebring, Florida did she begin a serious writing project. This small town came up with the ingenious idea of joining forty years' graduating classes into a single reunion every two years.
Some of her father's friends told of some of the man's wild ventures and strange adventures, firing Adora's literary spirit. When she began to write a book about her father, she reminded herself that her mother was his fiery equal.
Research, interviews with friends and relatives, courthouse records and census lists led to three adventurous families and, the saga, "Wagons South!" was born.
Adora was on a roll after publishing "Wagons South!" so she whipped out a little novel about abuse she called "Children of a Dark Secret." It was published early in 2008.
Find other books by Adora. "Golden Siblings" was inspired by the story of Kit Carson and John Fr?mont and all the covered wagon research Adora had compiled for "Wagons South!" "Golden Siblings" was published in 2008.
"His Fiery Equal, tale of a a catskinner's daughter" came out in 2009. "Defection at 60, I left dinner on the stove and ran away from home" is Adora's Autobiography and a woman's book which tells of the struggles of a girl growing up with the idiocy of Male Chauvinism and how she overcame. Adora is newly married and is moving to Esperance, NY, where they have bought a farm. Currently working on her new husband's autobiography, Adora is now using the name Conni Partridge as she begins the manuscript, "55 Years of Fire, Ice and Mud" by Samuel B Partridge as told to Adora Mitchell Bayles (aka Conni Partridge.)

I guess I knew I could write when I was twelve. It's amazing the years I wasted in not pursuing my number one passion. I love to write. My head writes even when I don't have a pencil or computer in front of me. Waking moments are filled with storylines! It's about time!

NOTE: I am pretty much back on the FanStory scene now. My new book, "His Fiery Equal, tale of a catskinner's daughter," will be in print late this spring. New stuff burns my brain all the time so I will be around, nit-picking people's work and writing bizarre little ditties.
