The Barbecue

The grill was getting hot, coals glowing a deep red. Beer was chilling in the tub of ice. Soon he and his friends would dine on a rare, unique cut of meat. Brandon's mouth watered in anticipation of the upcoming barbecue.
He glanced toward the barn where, yesterday, he had walked in and grinned as his ex-boss's eyes bulged over the gag before he was hoisted to the rafter, just before Brandon slit his throat.
