skating, dog rescue, writing
A Texas gal, Sherry has lived in central Texas most of her life - though she reluctantly admits to living in Ohio for about 18 months with her first husband. After moving back to central Texas, she met and married her current husband, Bill. Even after living in Brownwood since 2007, she's still not used to small town life.

She has been involved in dog rescue since 2001; primarily primitive breeds, German Shepherds and hybrids. She and her husband have fostered over 25 dogs and been instrumental in saving several hundred. She also volunteers at the area animal shelter; transporting dogs to rescues, walking, training and socializing dogs that have been abandoned or picked up as strays and helping raise funds to support the shelter's mission.

She and her husband were National-class competitive roller-skaters and at one time owned and operated a roller-skating rink. Her children grew up on skates and her grandchildren are now learning to love having skates on their feet.

Sherry loves writing, mainly horror shorts and stories or poems about animals.
