Back on the 16th November 2019, my Facebook account of nine years was abruptly disabled by Facebook administration.
No specific reason given but just a Facebook security algorithm flagging me as contravening Facebook's promotion policy for promoting a one man, one off poetry recital show I did at my local arts theatre.
Apparently it is a no no to vigorously self promote on private message to friends about my upcoming show. You see I was supposed to create it as 'an event' and obviously pay a fee to Facebook to do this. Obviously this flagged their security algorithm and robotically assumed I was some sort of commercial abuser of their privacy laws I can only assume.
No warning or three strikes and you're out... just immediate disablement.
It was about this time that Facebook and google were going through huge legal suits.
and coincidentally Cambridge Analytica were outed for selling or on selling personal consumer data for profit..rather hypocritical don't you think.
This poem I wrote as I was listening to a doco on 'SURVEILLANCE CAPITALISM' exposing these social networks such as google and Facebook.
BIG BROTHER IN SOCIAL NETWORKS IS WATCHING US AND KNOWS MORE ABOUT YOU THAN YOU THINK!
