The Office Scuttlebutt

Gossip ?Me? Never!
I'd not do that!
I over-heard this
as I innocently sat,

at a break room table
at my work.
It was about Alice
and her crazy quirk.

Why can't she be normal,
just like me?
I'm what so many people
aspire to be.

But Alice, tsk,
it's really very sad,
that her strange quirk
is so very bad.

I'm not one to gossip,
(but this is what I heard),
good sources say it's true,
so don't doubt my word.

She is known to eat cold pizza
for her morning meal.
Now, normally this is fine,
no big deal,

But, Alice takes off the pepperoni,
(right in front of her son!)
then sprinkles on sugar and cinnamon!

I'm not sure if I
can continue to be her friend.
But I would hate our friendship to end.

Is she willing to give up cinnamon?
So I say with trembling voice,
"How about marshmallows?
I find them the better choice."

She said, "Sure, I'll give it a try."
But my, oh my!

I don't know who told 
I like Marshmallows on pizza.
But may they be struck with amnesia!

Someone couldn't keep
their mouth shut.
Now I'm part of
the office scuttlebutt!
