Healthy Food, Yuck!

Eating healthy is the pits
Sends my insides into a fit.

"What is this stuff?" they cry.
They worry they're about to die.

Salad, plain chicken, apples & pears
It's really more than a body can bear.

Oatmeal for breakfast, salad for lunch,
I miss chocolate chip cookies so much!

My dinners aren't much better
It's Mac and Cheese without the cheddar.

If I must eat this way, I may as well be dead.
But my family got mad at me and said,

"We want you around a good long time,
Besides, you're in your prime.

Don't you know sixty is the new forty?"
All I can say to that is, "Oh Lordy!"

I thought I only had twenty more years at most,
Retirement could run out. I'm toast!

Guess I better plan on working until seventy.
Unless I can force (I mean 'find') a rich man to rescue me.
