Free Verse

A Train of Thought

A train of thought.
What is it exactly?
Is it a string
of ideas
brought about
by a planned endeavor,
or does it come
randomly,
abandoning
all conscious
thinking?
Maybe
it’s a queue
of new ideas
in our subconscious,
rushing to make themselves
known
before
distraction
breezes in
and their abstraction
is
blown away.
