Exceptional
This work has reached the exceptional level
Fabulous Free Verse Club

All Is Well

I started out close to sunset,
and watched that fiery star
grudgingly going home,
relinquishing its sway over day.
The sky became sequined velvet
and the moon,
 peeping through the treetops,
silhouetted birds
swooping to their roosts
for the night.
This long-worn path
took me through woods
where the scurrying of creatures
making their way to their nests
and flickering fireflies
soothed my soul.
All was well
                                       in my world.
