How could one go about their day
If their nether regions were on display?

Of course briefs matter, so don't come up short.
I'm told they are especially important when you go to court.

Some are very fancy, some just plain white,
Mine are always baggy, but some are really tight.
(You know, tighty whities)

Some, (I've even heard it said), are called *'Thong.'
Who would wear briefs on their feet? It seems so wrong.

It would be most uncomfortable to go about without. No doubt!
I wouldn't want the person behind me in a line to shout,

"Hey, this person has no briefs, that much is very clear!"
Then of course the Underwear Police would soon appear.

I'd be taken off to Undie Jail and there I'd have to wait,
For them to ask that question that's designed to humiliate,

"Boxers or Briefs?"

"Briefs, of course."

I saw there was a contest entitled: 'Your Briefs: Why Do They Matter'. It just made me laugh. I know this is a serious contest and I'm not making fun, it's just that the title hit me as so funny and I couldn't help myself. What is the writer of silly, funny poems to do when presented with such an opportunity?
