A Duo-Rhyme Poem for Potlatch

The Wild Winds

by damommy

The wild winds blew wheree’er they may,
destroying what stood in their way.
The lightning flashed and thunder rolled
      announcing their arrival bold,
and ripped and rammed quite uncontrolled.
     Their savage fingers took ahold
     of everything they could enfold.
If only this had been foretold.
Now skies are blue, no longer gray,

and we survived this fearsome fray.
