Regrets

Tomorrow

Tomorrow may be gone.
I can't take away all the
nights you slept alone
because by job took me
far from home.
I'm sorry for not being
at your side the day you
heard your father died--
Or the day I missed the
birth of our only son.
I can't take back what
I have done, but there
is always ...tomorrow.
