The Original Sin

by Ogden

If Adam hadn'
Sinned in
forbidden
feedin',

We'd still be naked in the Garden of Eden,
Or less crowded places with equal innocence;

No jealousy, dissatisfaction, ambivalence,
Content with the way things were in Arcadian days,
Quite different from life in today's cozy ways.

No Mom's apple pie, absolutely.
No personal smart phone,
No social media or TV.
No hand-dipped ice cream cone.
Just vegan victuals. (Pronounced 'vittles')
Not even a handful of Skittles!

Don't you think we're better off being out of Eden,
Not on the
brink of out, for forbidden feedin'?
