Are You Made of Cheese?

by damommy

Are You Made of Cheese?

Each night I say good night to you
and from my window I can view
your sweet smile and your lovely big round eyes

They tell me you are made of cheese
Please tell me you are not, oh, please
I think someone’s been telling awful lies

I love you so, Man in the Moon
I miss you in the afternoon
I know I will be seeing you at night

My mommy shows me all the stars
and Daddy tells me where is Mars
but, Mr. Moon, you are my favorite sight

My friends say make a wish is dumb
but they can stick it in their thumb
I know you always listen to my dreams

I’m sure you can’t be made of cheese
‘cause anyone who looks can see
the answer’s in your beautiful moonbeams.
