To fill the vacancy
reflected
in
your hollow, hazel gaze;
a
barren stretch of sadness,
where unoccupied
has become
an instant messenger,
unable to locate a server
to deliver your plea
to a world
so preoccupied
that it turns its head
in passing-
as you
pander your pain;
postured
in
subtle supplication.
