quatrain poem
The Wishing Well
by adewpearl
As I was wand'ring through the woods, I found a wishing well, and since I had a secret wish, I thought to stop a spell. I spoke my whispered wish aloud, then tossed my penny in -- it whirled and twirled 'til bottom found, then took its final spin. Dear penny, land on heads, I plea to give good fortune due, for when your luck looks up on me my wish will sure come true. |
