It's Twelve O'Clock

It’s twelve o’clock, the nighttime’s crest,
bewitching hour it’s been decreed,
and ghosts and ghoulies have their fest,
foolhardy folk they will mislead.

It’s never safe to wander when
it’s twelve o’clock, the nighttime’s crest.
They wait for some unwary soul
to capture on their nightly quest.

Beware of darkened corners lest
there’s something evil lurking there.
It’s twelve o’clock, the nighttime’s crest,
a time of menace everywhere.

I tell you this because it’s true,
else you might find yourself possessed.
Use caution in the things you do
It’s twelve o’clock, the nighttime’s crest.
