Beware the univited kiss

Kissing Cousins

by BermyBye50

Establish a friendscape of those you know

Exempt the kissing cousins you don’t know

Passing acquaintanceship often come and go,

For every family has those who kiss and tell

Some of whom we all know famously well.

The cousin who always pinches your cheeks

The one kisser who surprises yet rarely speaks

Whom you’ve rarely ever seen over weeks,

That one cuz whom you’d like to kiss-off

You consistently have to tell to back off.

The kissable cousin who is just too romantic

Who makes other family member frantic

That you’d rather not undergo their antics,

The one that only wants to French kiss

To be ignored at all cost, a definite miss.

Or the one kisser who appears light-hearted

Which no one wants to get really started

Who is openly often highly disregarded,

The jolly cousin who is full of mirth

From whom you abstain for all its worth.

The cousin who tries to give the kiss of life

To everyone present, except their own wife

Which generally results in unnecessary strife,

And there’s the one who has the kiss of death

None want to kiss because of his stinky breath.

So at the next framily gathering just know

Those to whom you want not to say hello

Especially the cousins you still don’t know,

Those far too kissy might be an arch-enemy

pretenders who are more likely your frenemy.
