A Modified Entwined poem

Memories

by damommy

My mem’ries are like pearls
all strung together tight
by love and cherished well
so smooth and shiny white,
and bright as past unfurls.

My mem’ries are like stars
behind my eyes that glow,
and no one sees but me.
I sit and let them flow
to chase away pain’s scars.

My mem’ries will remain
heart-bound both night and day.
And time rolls on and curls
‘round sorrows kept at bay
and happiness shall reign.
