Haiku - Ocean
Poetry Contest
Write a haiku concerning the ocean. Creative approaches welcome.
-17 syllables or LESS
-short/long/short format
-two grammatically interconnected lines of concrete imagery (paints a mental image)
-satori line or a-ha moment (may be the first or last line)
-personification is allowed
-minimal punctuation and capitalization
-no author's notes
-no end rhymes
-no videos, animation or music
-artwork allowed but the poem must stand alone (the picture is not to be incorporated into the poem)
-basic editor where white background and black text
-title must be: haiku (first line of poem)
