Jim Wile: Prior to retiring, I was a computer systems analyst and wrote millions of lines of code and thousands of lines of documentation, but I am quite new to fiction writing. I have written several novellas, but now am in the process of trying to get my first novel published via the traditional route.

I have written poems for years and actually published one in my daughter's clarinet magazine. I am mainly a fan of rhyming poetry, though I will likely try my hand at some of the different types on this site.

My main interests are golfing, bridge playing, and now fiction writing.

Writing, golf, bridge
I was a golf course superintendent for a few years, then became a computer programmer and systems analyst where I did a lot of technical writing. I loved that part of the job, but after I retired there wasn't a need for it anymore.

Still feeling the urge to write, I turned to creative writing--both fiction and poetry, and I've found a terrific forum for it here on FanStory.

I am so grateful to all the folks in charge of FanStory as well as all my new friends here for sharing your writing with me and letting me share mine with you.

5-7-5 An Introspection In Seventeen Syllables Moments I Have Lived
I have found it rather amazing that an existence of time can be expressed in such few words and yet provide a specific and definitive explanation.

Great reviews:
Raw with emotion - love and pain, regrets and hope, truth and tragedy. It touched me at points, made me choke up.
