Reading, writing and watching decent films and programs on the TV
I am David J Crouch and am seventy-one years of age. I am a committed Christian and live to write poetry to the glory of God, but not all of my poems are spiritual! I was a late starter to poetry writing. I didn't write my first poem until I was turned forty. I believe I was first inspired to write poetry whilst I was visiting Holland in 1979, but it is only in the past few years that I've started writing regularly. I submit most of my poetry to a local community magazine free of charge and have had many of them published. Some of my poems I have had printed in anthologies and I have written a book of poems, entitled: 'Rabbits In Heaven'. Also during the past few years I have tried my hand at writing short story's for children and although submitting a few of them to children book publishers I have not as yet had anything published. I'm always on the look out for inspiration and enjoy reading other peoples poetry in the hope of gaining a greater knowledge of structuring my own work.
