below is one of my favorite poems from the scriptures.

The Song Of Solomon 8 : 6 & 7

Place me as a seal upon your heart
as a seal upon your arm
because love is as strong as
death is
insistence on exclusive devotion
is as unyielding as sheol is
its blazings are the blazings of fire
The Flame Of Jah
many waters themselves are not able
to extinguish love
nor can river themselves
wash it away
if a man would give all the valuable things
of his house for love
persons would positively despise them
    Asem.inspirations: Oh hello, my friend Mustangpatty: No problem, I could not resist sharing this poem. It is one of my favorite poems from the Song of Solomon. I find that the bible is full of poetry, poetic stories, and beautiful expressions.

Asem.inspirations: I started writing poetry as a young girl but over the years I wrote whenever I felt like writing, which was not much. However as a family we started to lose our loved ones as tragedy hit hard again and again. Life experiences were not kind either so I reached for poetry. I call it my "Woe Is Me" poetry. I found myself needing to peek deep into my darkness, while there, proceed to yank that ouch out.....

Yet as incredible as my life has been I know that one day I will finally write my life story. The poetry is bits and pieces of my life, yes my inspiration....... but I am finding my poetic voice again.....and I am loving the journey.
    mrsmajor: I find some of my most memorable poems, come from the sadness that life shows us...By putting pen to paper, I'm often able to allow God to work in my spirit...and bring me some peace...I wish you well! -
    Asem.inspirations: I agree Mrsmajor....poetry, just writing....is such a gift from God. After all he is the greatest Poet and Author EVER....I found myself actually praying for poetry, praying to be able to write again to soothe my aching, that constant anguish...Thank you for your comment...I appreciate your words of encouragement -
