bmethner: I am a retired teacher from a small town in Texas. I have been writing poetry for friends and family for some time now. I decided to hone my writing by getting feedback from other writers, and it has certainly helped. I've enjoyed reading other writers. I have written a children's book for my granddaughter and have thoughts about getting into that genre. The possibilities are endless with writing. I find that it helps shape me as a person.
