Ginger Banks: Jeremiah 29:12-13 - In those days when you pray, I will listen. If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me.
    TAB_that's me: So true. -
Susanne M. Psyris: Lovely Bible verse quoted!
    -
Ginger Banks: Thank you, I think God has a lot of wonderful things to say. -

Ginger Banks: https://www.biblegateway.com/blog/2012/07/why-does-god-allow-tragedy-and-suffering/
Slythytove2: Since you asked,I can find no answer to this question. Why a benevolent and caring God supposedly, could allow certain thing to happen in the way they do is beyond my comprehension, but to ask it is to have some belief in a preexisting and ordained plan, and I can't buy that. Think of the very worst thing that one human could do to another under any set of circumstances, and it's been done.
If someone was minding the store, would they allow that? If God was so concerned with the Jews in Egypt why wouldn't he show the same concern for the slaves in the south of this country. They too cried out for him. According to your bible he stepped in personally to right things there and then, so why not here and now?
Just so you don't think I'm a Muslim or Buddhist saying these things out of spite, I was raised in an Episcopalian house hold and believed it all until I was twelve.
If I could believe in anything any more I would but belief has not been given to me
so faith has not been forthcoming."...I envy Sisyphus his rock- at least he knew from whence it came..." -
Ginger Banks: It is not I who can answer your questions, because I am not God. Ask for some help from Him, and seriously seek it without a predisposition *not* to believe. I'm sorry I don't have the best answers for your questions. Allow me this question Slythytove2, you say you've placed it on God's shoulders to right the wrongs here and now; why Him, why not we humans, after all we're the ones perpetrating and allowing? -

Ginger Banks: Good night all.

Ginger Banks: Hello to Everyone in the community - [on-line and off]

I need to apologize for my angry, bigoted and ignorant rantings and ravings I put into my "Commentary" piece called - "I Pledge Allegiance to the Flag".

My heart is hurting and broken for causing people such pain, anger and resentment. I am thoroughly embarrassed and I truly regret the post. I hope you all can forgive me, and I will think again before posting such filth and dribble. I will be removing or archiving or whatever I need to do to get the post removed from viewing.

Thank you in advance...

Sincerely,

Ginger Banks :'(
michaelcahill: All's forgiven. Sincerity is a wonderful quality. :)) -
TAB_that's me: I didn't read the piece but I appreciate your willingness to ask for forgiveness and to remove the offending piece. :) It takes a big person to admit they were wrong. -
Ginger Banks: Thank you both. :) -

Ginger Banks: Oooo, it's just gone "green" outside where I'm at - that means a tornado is near by; it's also gone "still" quite suddenly too, another sign. If I start seeing hail I'm outta here and headed for the nearest stairwell and the bottom floor underneath it! Lol.
I am Cat: Oh I know how that is! Stay safe, girl! -
Jannypan (Jan) : I was told of that green color by my grandmother. Go to a safe place NOW ! -
Selina Stambi: Sounds scary. Keep safe. -
    Lynn27: I hope you are safe. -
Ginger Banks: All is well, it got really dark and the wind was frantically fighting the branches on the trees I could see outside my window. It went almost black before suddenly the "lights" came back on outside. It was like nothing ever happened. Totally weird the only thing I can think is that it jumped over us and hit just outside the city somewhere. I've tried to see news, but nothing of significance that I could tell. I'll probably hear all about whatever I missed, tomorrow, from my neighbors. Lol. At this time all is well here, thank you for your thoughts and prayers. :) -
I am Cat: Four years ago, one hit here but the sky went saffron... Freaky stuff... Hit about 400 yards away and killed people, ripped homes away, oddly left our place intact.
Made me want to move back to San Antonio. Lol -
Ginger Banks: They're scary things indeed, I am Cat, one of my more terrifying nightmares. I'm sorry you had that experience! -

FanStory wrote to Ginger Banks: Sleep, Sweet Sleep finished third in the contest "Just for Fun (5-7-5)"
Lynn27: Congrats on coming in third place! -
Ginger Banks: Thank you Lynn, you are very kind. I always appreciate the words of encouragement and help. -

Ginger Banks: I wanted to let writers know that I don't ever look at a person's profile, unless I think it's absolutely necessary *before* I finish reviewing.

I don't look at the profiles specifically because I want to give an honest and unbiased review with constructive (not destructive) criticism. So, I don't wish to allow any writer's rating or standing within the FanStory Community to influence neither how I read the work, nor the Star-Rating and review I give to them.

Again, thank everyone who for your own words of encouragement, fair and your gracious constructive criticism of my own work.

Also, thank you for understanding the reason I don't read profiles first.
giraffmang: I don't think it really matters to anyone to be fair. Also, if you are using the newer site, all the information is given on the page anyway. -
Jannypan (Jan) : I never look when I review another writer's work. I do look when I receive a low review with no suggestions for improvement. Many times, there is nothing posted, or the member joined a short time ago. -

Ginger Banks: Keep Writing - You will only achieve a superlative piece: by the blessing of the All-Powerful communicated through you; in the far-reaching encouragement of those around you and dearest to your heart; the necessity of tough love from those who read your expressive thoughts; persevering endurance even when believed to be a failure by yourself and others; and finally - a complete, strong, and creative authorship of what may become for you, your deepest accomplishments.

Psalm 103:13 - The Lord is like a father to his children, tender and compassionate to those who fear him. For he knows how weak we are; he remembers we are only dust.

I have a deep-seated need to write. Hanging out with friends and family (when I can) is second in line, swimming is my next favorite thing to do, then reading, cooking, and hand-made crafting.

Whenever I can combine any or all at the same time, it brings more joy to my heart. God bless you and keep you writing.
