Joyce Long: I am Joyce Long and I am married to my childhood sweetheart. We had two children which we lost to cancer and heart attack. We lost a grandson and two great grandbabies in the Joplin tornado. We do have a deep love of the Lord and that is how we have survived. I have a daughter-in-law who keeps me in line and her two children and son-in-law. I have a new book just out about my grand-son-in-law who is a Carnie. I have a grandson who is deployed, but I work with his wife, so see her and their two children daily. I also have a granddaughter and her husband who live outside the area, so don't see her much. I have family in Heaven and here on earth. My husband and I enjoy traveling and have been in all fifty states which I incorporate in my children's books. My husband is active with the Shrine and is serving this year as their Chaplain. That keeps us busy. Reading and writing keeps me busy. I believe writers should attend conventions and join author's clubs. Favorite Quotation is by Henry Ford: "Whether you think you can or you think you can't, you are usually right." To be writers we have to think we can. Keep writing. |
