alvina224224: A LTTLE LATE BUT HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU ALL AROUND THE WORLD.
GETTING BACK NTO COMPETITION MODE, ONCE I'VE CLEARED MY IN-TRAY!

FanStory wrote to alvina224224: Kelly's Clown finished third in the contest "Your best Halloween or Scary Story!"

alvina224224: Hello again, friends. I've recommended this site to so many friends and acquaintances, and hopefully increased the UK membership, but find it difficult to get time to come on board. However, I do hope you have all been having a very successful writing life and look forward to reading your work.
I have founded a new writing group in the local library so look forward also, to their comments about FanStory

alvina224224: Well folks, I've finally done it! My own web site is alive at www.emem.co.uk
If you can spare a minute, I'd love to have your opinion, and I hope you think it is good enough to share with your friends.
alvina224224: well, that didn't last long. did it? It is now August 2017, and at the age of 85, I am about to move to the 66th address in my life. I'm still with my 90yr old partner who has instigated this move. when asked our secret for a long life, we can honestly answer - don't carry dead luggage around; always focus on the something new - to do, to taste, to experience, to share, and to laugh at. Then sing about it - music is the answer to everything. I'm off now, to do some packing, which is something else I am expert at doing quickly. 'Bye for now, friends maryxx -

alvina224224: Congratulations toz666 - we've shared the win for the Questions contest! And thank toy to everyone for their valued vote for my poem, I Ain't Goin'

alvina224224: I've just read all your lovely greetings, and welcomes. Previously, I was on FS as mary224 and now, all that has happened in the meantime, is fading fast, many thanks to you all. Here's to a long pen-friendship!xx
Rubylou: Hello, happy to meet you. I look forward to reading your posts. -
A.A.A.EXHILARATING RIDE: Congratulations, you seem to be moving forward nicely, and gifting your journey on the way. What a lot to grow through! So pleased you are sharing. Blessings from OZ, Maureen*&* -

alvina224224: I am so elated! On Oct 18th, I confessed how depressed I had become, and here today, November 4th, I have to say a huge THANK YOU to all my new friends who have helped me to achieve the message just received. A piece of my work has just been given the blue medal of Recognition!!! (I know 3x!!! is naughty, but hey...) Thank you all so much xxx
Gloria ....: Yay, alvina. Glad you are happy. You earned it. :)) -

alvina224224: Last August, I made an attempt to return to the world of words. I can't believe all that has happened since then. Apart from my lovely sister's unexpected death, then one of my favourite cousins in very similar circumstances, I have been ill myself, and now seem to be a victim of depression. Plane disasters, migrant circumstances over the world, terrorist incidents, the world's icecap dissolving... but I have no wish to make my depression contagious. Help me return to the positive person I was, please. My previous Fan Story name was marym224.
evilynne: There is still a great deal of beauty in the world and a great many good people; there is always hope. You can find a lot of positive thoughts on this site, as well as expressions of sorrow and despair. But again, hope prevails, and writing is an excellent way to sort out all of the mysteries of life. Evi -
Lindagail Hall: Hey so sorry for your loss that's a lot to cope with, no wonder you are depressed it's very brave for you to share that. I know what you mean re attacks London and Manchester then London again, it's hard to keep smiling while all this distraction is going on. The world is feeling the same as you!
Have you tried writing these things out, or have you seen your zGP things need to change for mental health thanks to the Royals.
There is a group called the bereavement society were you can talk to a bit like relate child line .
I know that the state of our country doesn't help either. Would you mind if I put your name on my prayer list it's just for me . -

alvina224224: Through sudden and dramatic changes in my life, I have returned to Fan Story for company, comfort and a focus back to my love of writing. One of those changes has been a new address - the 64th in my long life. Yes, that's right - 64! That's a novel in itself. It has been several months since I wrote, other than shopping lists and cheques! But now I'm ready......
nor84: Welcome back. Were you here before under this name? -
Linda Engel: welcome looking forward to reading your work
    -
rama devi: Welcome Back. I don't recognize your name. Did you have a different one before? -
mrsmajor: Welcome back to the family, every pen is of value here...looking forward to reading your work...Get ready! Get set!...Now Go!
May your pen bring forth the joy of writing. -
A.A.A.EXHILARATING RIDE: Well! This seemed to fly in like a bird, so hi fellow English lass, and welcome back to FanStory from a relative new comer, though it already feels to be so much a part of my destiny.

64 years young, that takes me back a few! Enjoy your journey, comforts and sharing.

    Blessings Maureen*&* -
A.A.A.EXHILARATING RIDE: I've just found your comment on my profile and hope things are travelling well. A new challenge faces me at present, but I'm still looking forward to enjoying your love of writing. At it is a treasure to meet, and look forward to others patching footsteps in time. Blessings, Maureen*&* -

alvina224224: I'm sad, depressed and desperately in need of writing friends to set me back on the path to the occupation I love. I wrote successfully until a few years ago then had to abandon writing, for a completely different life. Now I am making this attempt to write again. Where shall I start, friends?

Born in London, I was evacuated to relatives in South Wales. After the war, I returned to London until I was nineteen. The following eleven years saw me married in Wales and raising a family. In 1963, I was living alone in Australia. In 2009, I returned to UK, and wrote three novels. In 2012 I teamed up with a most interesting gentleman and began experiencing a world that was different again. What more could an author need to provide a mountain of inspiration? I must use the time I have left, to create a magical world of words.
