Gone but not forgotten: My membership expires soon and I won't be renewing. I've enjoyed being part of this community and have learned much, i.e., though I have poetry in my soul...I'm not a poet! But I need to focus on finishing my memoir and that requires my intense attention. My very best to everybody and thanks for your reviews, editorial comments and other help. I suspect I'll be on a few more days, then I guess I'll just disappear! Best to all. |

Gone but not forgotten: I'm so pleased - and so proud of my father. My poem "June 4, 1944" won the contest for "In Their Memory". All my life I heard him tell this story, read it in books, too. The War (oh, yes, capitalized in my family!) damaged my dad, as war does, but he managed to have a good life and raise a mid-50s family. He found peace in his later years and, after a stroke, developed a good sense of humor...but even at the very end, he worried about all the people he killed in The War. I got this poem published (in prose form) on the 50th Anniversary of June 4, 1944. It was in all the local newspapers where he lived in Texas. He was surprised and pleased. I'm sure he is now, too. |

Gone but not forgotten: Wow, I just saw that my erotic story, Hoover, won third place in a contest on FanStory! It's my very first win, and only the second time I even tried to publish an erotic story. Hoover is much more racy than the first one, called "Dancing Naked in the Moonlight" which was published several years ago in PanGaia Magazine. Despite being a little shy about it, maybe I've found my niche. YIKES! My writing will be in magazines I don't want to buy! Meanwhile, though I may at some point publish it here, you can read the copyright version of Dancing Naked here: http://www.shadowplayzine.com/Fiction_Poetry/dancing.htm |

Gone but not forgotten: My first erotic piece of fiction (ish) since I was published by PanGaia Magazine several years ago. I've been writing them, but was too shy to publish them. Still am. But I'm comfortable on FanStory, so we shall see! Hope you'll read Hoover and enjoy it. One might call it rollicking... |

Gone but not forgotten: I just voted for my own poem, but then realized that Moonwillow was in the contest. That is an amazing poem...couldn't vote twice, though. Moonwillow has four times as many votes...it's also four times as good! Just sayin' |

Gone but not forgotten: I've been writing all my life. Have even made a living doing so for decades (though at some points "eked out" would be more descriptive!) I am enjoying reading what I find here and as a natural editor/proofreader, I hope my reviews are helpful. Plus, it's fun! Add in the occasional goose bump and it's all about the words! |
