Serendipity!: Some of my chapters for Two Mother's Twin Daughters are being placed under the disabled book Mary's Diary. I don't know how to move them where they belong.
A.A.A.EXHILARATING RIDE: I had a simpler challenged recently, and was glad to eventually transcend it with Tom's aid. Good luck! Maureen*&* -
michaelcahill: Is there a publishing problem is you able the book? Do you have to have it disabled?
It's easier if it's enabled, then you just "remove chapter from book". I think you can do that anyway and then just "add chapter" to the right book. When you first post you have to see where it's going, I've done it many times, but not often enough to remember right away how to fix it. It is fixable and like Ms. Ride says, Tom can fix it for sure. :)) -
robyn corum: Now I remember! Go to the list of items in your portfolio and see if there's an option on each one to 'add to a book'. find the right pieces and click on that option, then you'll scroll through the books to see which one you want to add to. See if that works. -
    A.A.A.EXHILARATING RIDE: Hi Serendipity,
Interesting to find, and makes me wonder if you gave up FanStory because there does seem no road map, or help to ensure postings are seen where one intends and in context - or sadly any help at all when one falls into a black hole, because one is either following the common paths, or stepping into a void. However, the fourth black hole this year, has become a significant time at the cross roads after one great year - which I hoped to see FanStory as the God gifted vehicle for my destiny - and need to ensure year two will confirm that, or support my growth towards a new path.

But having asked for help and clarity after putting my last poem into Family Flowerings and it came up in Transitions more than a month ago, I was told I can't understand you and left stranded and ridiculed! Meanwhile got the best reviewing feedback and sharing ever! But in contrast to previous challenges this poem was never put in the book selected - albeit with no acknowledgement or explanation to prevent another fall. Instead two weeks or so later, it was disabled. And, no comment from support or anyone taking my fees!

I have posted one poem since, `Going on Holiday!? And, FanStory tells me it was well received and would stay seen 24 hours, but I'd promoted it for three days!

However, my holiday was good, and time for reflection meant to be for many reasons, and seeing so many of my fans no longer active sad, thought provoking, and significant. And, whether you find this or not, I hope your journey and writing are leading you along a well nourished and fruitful, happy path, Maureen*&*

Serendipity!: We are """celebrating""" the May long weekend with lots of slushy snow coming down. I had to be brave and get my plants off the deck. What are you doing to make this weekend special? Could it be possibly be more fun that what we're doing?
flylikeaneagle: Annie and I decorated the Presbyterian Parlor for her graduation party on Saturday. We are having cake, brownies and candy with beverages. On Sunday, the high school graduates 80 students. Annie likes poetry, landscape and desires to be a teacher. We are celebrating! flylikeaneagle -
Serendipity!: That sounds like fun! -
Jannypan (Jan) : Congratulations to Annie. -
mrsmajor: A Big Congratulations to Annie, may her future be truly Blessed... -

Serendipity!: There is a contest coming up regarding book chapters. If you have ever been reading my book Two Mothers, Twin Daughters, here's a great opportunity to put in your two bits worth and do some editing if you want.

Serendipity!: For some reason the very first chapter of Two Mothers, Twin Daughters had gone missing. So I posted it now!
A.R. Curry: Lol that's stuff happens to me sometimes because I edit the same story so many times under different titles. Then when I go back to work on it again, it's the wrong save file! Oops -
    Serendipity!: Ya... -

Serendipity!: Can anyone tell me how to get the chapters of my book in the right order? Also, I haven't been able to figure out how to remove the ones that are posted under the wrong book title and place them where they belong.

    Add Chapter

    Remove Chapter

Hi there. This may not format well enough to help, but I hope when you see it in the right format for your actual books it will make sense.

To remove or add is simple. At the very end of your books title page in the lower right hand corner are two tabs, "add chapter" and "remove chapter". That's how.

Now as far as chapter numbers. You can simply go into regular edit mode and change them. The system automatically puts them in order starting with prologue and then 1,2,3,4 etc. Just go where the chapter number is and type in whatever you want it to be.
Hope this helps and doesn't look to confusing. Go to books in your portfolio and look at the cover page for your book to find the add and remove chapter features. -

Serendipity!: Did you meet my new little companion, yet? She is an absolute living, breathing doll. This morning she bounced along beside me while I was pacing as exercise around the house. Que Lindo, which means How Cute sounded too masculine so I took, what's it called? Poetic licence and changed it to an "ah" sound at the end. Kay LEEN dah.
evilynne: Glad you vented; I can't imagine anyone being mean to you. Evi -
evilynne: Oops! The above was supposed to go under I am Cat's comment. Anyway, I'm sure that your little companion is adorable. Evi -
Serendipity!: You did get me rereading what I had written...and wondering???!!! -
flylikeaneagle: I think that this name is adorable to match your puppy. flylikeaneagle -
Serendipity!: You probably didn't even realise I was talking about a cute, rolly-polly white puppy! -

Serendipity!: We will soon be cutting off the Internet in order to save money. It's been lovely getting to know different ones of you and marveling over different 'pieces'. Until we decide to reconnect, I will occasionally be using the computer at a library. Have a blessed New Year.
I am Cat: Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! -
rama devi: Hope to see you on your intermittent visits. I'll be active intermittently here too. -

Serendipity!: We have been gone for three weeks, ending up in southern United States, Mississippi etc. Now we are back for one night before heading to the northern Alberta for a Christmas gathering. I'd love to catch up with you all when we come back.

Serendipity!: One last thought referring to our sweet old dog who past away just the other day. This is in memory of her.

"I want to be the kind of person that Sheba thought I was."
michaelcahill: That is such a beautiful thought. All of us pet lovers understand every word of it. A perfect tribute in memory of your sweet old dog. I will always remember these words. Thank you. -
mrsmajor: I'm sure you are, Dogs seem to have an instinct for knowing those that love the most...I lost my beautiful black Labrador, last year...at 16 years of age, it was like losing a part of my human family...I have another Dog now, he's just 2 years old...What a Joy...I wish you well...It gets better, but takes time... -
Linda Engel: Dogs are like your children. Loving and loyal. Always in your heart. Dogs and so special to the family.

I, on the other hand, have a cat. (what's that in your mouth? A RAT. You bring a rat into my bedroom? EEK! Don't love me , baby, please don't love me) -
I am Cat: That's beautiful, Serendipity... So sorry for your loss... and Linda... eww...
    ;) -
MLEaton: That's no problem. I'm sure you are! -

Serendipity!: It has been enjoyable rewriting Two Mothers, Twin Daughters and getting such excellent feedback for it. I thought it would be fun to have a board on Pinterest with ideas from the book in picture form.
Linda Engel: I love Pinterest. I am on there with some really cool boards. Listed as Linda Stikkel . I have a writing board and book board. How are you listed there? -
    Serendipity!: Under Marilyn Friesen -
    Serendipity!: Marilyn Friesen -

Serendipity!: Wow, it's good to be back. I've been super busy with Canadian Family Gatherings, and trying to download Mary's Diary on Kindle. Hope I succeeded. It was disheartening to find out that because a slight mistake in the title, the book (paper cover) hadn't been showing up on Amazon.

Serendipity!: Just two little comments or thoughts this time. How does the updated titled of Identical Twins, Two Mothers sound to you?
And...what does it take to be rated as exceptional on something you write?
michaelcahill: An intriguing title. Write something exceptional, free of SPAG, free of logic errors that flows like butter. :)) -
Patricia Dsouza: AWESOME IS THE ONLY WORD COMING TO MY MIND :) -
Joyce Long: Serendipity! Sounds like things are going well for you. Thank you for selecting me for a Fan, 10-16-15 -

Serendipity!: Just remember Mary's Diary of Jesus' Life is available from Amazon and elsewhere. Get your own copy, soon!

Serendipity!: Have you seen this book somewhere? I am happy to announce that Mary's Diary of Jesus' Life has been "discovered" not in an archeological dig somewhere, but on the internet of all places. Who could have loved Jesus more than His own mother, and now we get to get a glimpse of His life from her own eyes.

Well, I do have reason to be pumped! My book Mary's Diary of Jesus' Life is on the market now. This is a well researched story that even covers Jesus' childhood. Being that it is from His mother's eyes, you can expect her emotions to show through!
P.S. It's available in THREE formats, ebook, paper copy AND audio. (The best for when you are driving.) Audio is from Hollywoodbooktrailers.com

Can this be shared here, or did I do something wrong?
michaelcahill: That's awesome. Congratulations! There is a section under "my menu" about "my books" that gives tips about how to promote on site. You might want to check it out. I know you can feature them on your profile. I think the site might be able to help. In any case, looks like a winner! -
Serendipity!: Thanks for the info -

Serendipity!: Well, first I want to get a little more familiarized with this, then we will see...
Selina Stambi: Popping in to say hello. Anyone home?? (Knock, knock ...) -
Serendipity!: Doesn't look like it. lol -

I am fascinated with inspirational, historical stories but mine go so far back into ancient history that it is a challenge to find information. Right now I am writing about the Christians that fled to the Alps from places like Rome. I'm lovin' it!
We run a Bed and Breakfast through AIr BnB that is called Hollyhock Haven Bed and Breakfast. It's a wonderful opportunity to get to know other people and their life stories.
