Laurie's Legacy: I am curious as to how I learn how I did in a contest. Is there a place to go to look up our rating? I am usually here and do my voting as well, but I think I missed one and I'm curious as to how well I did. If anyone can show me the way, that would be great.
    michaelcahill: I'm not sure if it is a site contest. Those seem to be mysterious. But in the prompts, you can click on the name of the prompt that appears at the name of your entry and it will call up the original instructions. Somewhere on there is the results. It's easier to do like I do and assume you came in second! HAhaha. -


Laurie's Legacy: well after being reviewed by several authors, the general consensus is that my book is geared more for eighth through 11th grade and perhaps parents of children with disabilities. Still editing, will keep you posted.


Laurie's Legacy: finally completed my children's book-middle school age-fifth through eighth grades, 12 chapters, 34,000+ words and now I am doing some final editing and looking for a publisher. I just wanted to share this exciting news with some fellow authors!


Laurie's Legacy: I believe my memoir is now posted on this site for sale, but I don't see it on my profile page and I'm wondering if others see it somewhere else?

Laurie's Legacy: when we are reading contest entries, are we supposed to just vote or are we allowed to rate them. I was fearful that rating them would somehow disclose the reviewing identity or indicate how well they were doing. I just didn't want to break any rules?


Laurie's Legacy: does anyone know where I find the ASIN on Amazon. Though I am the author of my memoir, my publisher put it on Amazon and I would like to list it on this site, but not sure where to find that number. I tried putting in my ISBN, but it did not come up with a picture of my book and I know it's for sale on Amazon.

Laurie's Legacy: As I am still fairly new to this site, I still have a number of questions or problems I need to figure out. I am aware that we get six stars each week, but I'm wondering when? Does the week began the first day we signed up and then every week thereafter on that particular day or is there some other calculation?

    Mystic Angel 7777: You get six weekly, but you can only give an author two in a 30 day period. If you gave a person two already then you will not have the option to award another six until 30 days have elapsed. -


Laurie's Legacy: I have a question? as you can see from my last writing, I tried to enter a contest, too many posts, missed the deadline and was kind of bummed? A day or so later I decided to post the essay just because? Now the same writing prompt is available for another contest? Can I repost something for a contest that I posted earlier as just a piece of writing? Just wondering?

Laurie's Legacy: at what point are we allowed to post more than twice in a 24-hour period? I am really bummed about this rule, as I posted two additional chapters to my book and then saw one of the prompts, so I wrote a story and then learned there is only six hours until the deadline and my time won't be up until sometime tomorrow morning.

Laurie's Legacy: wishing everyone a safe and pleasant Memorial Day? Let's all remember to honor those men and women who have given their lives for our freedom and let's not forget those who have returned to our arms with some type of disability, they need our support now more than ever.
