Shechem: I have been raised in a conservative family filled with people exposed in military and religion which has influenced me to be a Christian physician who likes to know other things now. I was raised with advice on prioritizing education which made me tend to choose staying in a library--reading poetry or chitchatting with people than fooling around in a playground in elementary. Good grades enabled me to try other things e.g., joining pageants, playing different sports, going on conventions especially in high school. College enabled me to know myself--open to try different things, but tries to set enough boundaries for what I think are worthwhile (leaving pre-law for pre-med and medicine proper). Medicine, once just a dream, has been complicated is an understatement. Thus, I am continuously rediscovering myself and exploring other stuff with God and my family surrounding me. |
