Carolyn Stephens, one of my foremost friends (renowned among you by her pseudonym, 'Notesandmore'), has overwhelmed me with gratitude: She purchased a full year's membership on my behalf (much to my own bewilderment) yesterday, as what she calls 'a pre-ordained gift for my graduation'! I am stupefied!--never in life (albeit short-lived) have I witnessed such exalted affability. Certain debts are irreparable to redeem; I don't know how to thank her...

rama devi: Yay!
Hope you're here to stay.
HURRAY for notes and more!
Warmest welcome back....
January 14, 2014 at 8:00PM
Sagnik Das: Indeed... it was more than I could imagine. My warmest greetings to you. :)
January 14, 2014 at 8:38PM
krys123: Out of pure curiosity I would sincerely wish to know why unfortunately I've been removed from your gracious presence.
February 10, 2014 at 4:49PM
krys123: Now that I totally understand your situation And heavy commitments I duly apologize for my ludicrous ineptness and wish you now that the rains fall everywhere where but where your foot steps may be taken. Let the pathways of your heart's desires be unimpeded.
February 10, 2014 at 5:44PM
Sagnik Das: Alex, I am overjoyed to hear from you after all these days and trust you are keeping well. I rarely get to visit FS these days with personal occupations & duties detaining me... almost throughout the week.
And even though I can't review you as much as I did, never for once must you incline yourself to infer that I don't read you--I always do--each one of your works have been perused, & savored to the foremost. It's just that I have fallen behind a bit, you know (my recent profile messages bear witness to that), & I no longer write as much as I used to.
Nevertheless, I am gratified you took the time to remember me, and wish you the best of all things great and glorious!
rama devi: Miss your presence here, my friend! Namaste

Carolyn 'Deaton' Stephens: Dear Sagnik,
I was thinking of you today and pulled up your page. You may not be looking at Fanstory at all, but if you do, you will know that Carolyn still loves you. You, your sweet mother, cousin and family in general are in my thoughts and prayers often. Larry and I are still doing well. Our family and grandchildren are growing up. Our eldest (2)granddaughters now have their nursing degrees, everyone in-between are doing well and our youngest Faith, is in a gifted program. We are blessed and praying you are happy, contented and well. Love you to the moon and back. :-) Carolyn Deaton Stephens
Owing to an impending array of University Examinations, commencing onward the 21st this week, I shall be induced, much to my gravest dismay, to part from all your genial acquaintance, I hold so dear at heart.
Thralled nefariously from your gracious company thus, I already find myself missing you much... well, until July the 5th at least..... & then, ah! it's freedom again.. I will finally breathe, & commune unbridled with you all, who have by now become for me, an integral part of my family itself.
Hence, give me leave for these few days & Lo! - I shall be back to you in no time! :)
Needless to wish you good luck which you do not need because you already planned well ahead for your exams. With your detailed, analytical and astute mind, there is no stopping you. I am sure you will get an Honors in your studies, smiles.
Best wishes, Ritchie.
July 3, 2013 at 3:01AM
Sagnik Das: I thank you all wholeheartedly for your bounty, & hope to see you soon.
July 3, 2013 at 11:42AM
Carolyn 'Deaton' Stephens: Hi there my friend! Ok, exams are over, time to get up and get goin' ... write, write, write.... I want to see something creative, wonderful, and, and, and, Oh, you know, in your usual style. :-) Carolyn
July 8, 2013 at 10:30AM
Sagnik Das: Carolyn, you ought to, I guess, be safely branded by us "The Minion of puerile Humor" (if you reckon what I mean!) And yes, indeed--do rest assured... with pedantic forebodings finally assuaged, its good time now for your lofty anticipations to be fulfilled. I shall write something worthwhile soon, for your hearty perusal .... & ay, Lady, let not then your affection demur you from chiding me, should I choose to go astray!! :)
Endeavor as I might, I can never thank you enough... neither shall I strive... for friendship, I fervently believe, deems no formal courtesies of any 'official' thanksgiving...

Carolyn 'Deaton' Stephens: Hello there, I hope you had a pleasant night. Is it almost 9:00 am in fair Calcutta? Have a wonderful day my fiend and buddy. (That means: I think you are a really great guy!!) Sagaciooooooous ,my gracious, I can't even spell it, much less say it. I'm practicing on my vocabulary. When I grow up I want to be like you. :-) Carolyn
It is this wry sense of humor & benevolence, that makes me honor you all the more... yes, I did have a wonderful night, day here has already parted, and it's time now for mellow dusk to 'enshroud' our solemn vicinity, lol.
I trust you are fine & hope to see you as soon as I can. Goodbye my friend; by your grace, I am now learning the American patois!
PS ~ Never be like me.... you will have much to regret later!

Alan K Pease: Alan K Pease: I am sure you snowed your exams. After a well deserved rest come back to us and write what comes to your mind when you read our poems. We all appreciate what you have to say and the way you say it.
September 13, 2013 at 9:07AM
Sagnik Das: Thank you cordially, Mr. Pease. Indeed, I did have a splendid examination (all by your benediction, of course!), & eagerly anticipate seeing you all...
Accept meanwhile, my deferential ovations.
September 14, 2013 at 7:47PM
country ranch writer: SO MY FRIEND I HAVE NOT HEARD FROM YOU IN QUITE AWHILE, I KNOW YOU PASSED YOUR EXAMS, AS SMART AS YOU ARE I KNOW YOU DID WITH FLYING COLORS
September 15, 2013 at 2:21AM
Sagnik Das: Ah! Madam, I am so elated that you stopped by ... yes, I truly did! (your benevolent appraisal leaves me abashed:) Mere words are found too trite, to thank you ever as much as I intend ; let's see you rather on your illustrious portfolio! ...
September 15, 2013 at 11:32AM
Carolyn 'Deaton' Stephens: Hey there, I figured you would 'ace' your exams. I'm so very proud of you and encouraged that you can have so much going on and yet keep up with your many obligations. September 10 , your birthdate, will now have special meaning to me. A wonderful man was born on that day, he will make his mark in the future and bring great esteem to his family. Like his grandfather did before him. My loving best to your mother and all. Love, Carolyn
September 17, 2013 at 10:39PM
Sagnik Das: Carolyn, my head shall hurt the next time round, whilst passing through our doorway!
Goodness me! - you are hereby bound, either to 'awe' me or 'immortalize' my name to the fullest!! such EFFUSIVE appraisal - By God, I am overwhelmed!
I shall certainly convey your affable wishes to the individuals concerned ... rest assured, dearest friend!
September 18, 2013 at 11:48PM
Gabrieltheswifter: My dear friend! Alas, I have run out of personal messages for the day! I have notified the maintenance, but it seems I shall not be graced with their reply as promptly as usual! I already looked at your wonderful poem and contest winner, before you had even emailed me about it. :P because I am your fan, and as a fan I have a responsibility.
September 21, 2013 at 11:42AM
Gabrieltheswifter: I truly was not surprised that you won, Oblivion was brilliant! (I wish I could review it, but alas! I am not a member as you are.)
September 21, 2013 at 11:43AM
Carolyn 'Deaton' Stephens: CONGRATULATIONS SAGNIK!!!!!!!!!!!! A well deserved 1st place winner for "Oblivion'.... I am so very proud of you and your wonderful work. Love you, Carolyn
September 21, 2013 at 12:13PM
Titanx9: Congratulations, Sagnik, on the win! The poem, "Oblivion" is definitely first rate! Dossie
Your benevolence & altruism have outshone my trivial victory. I am overjoyed that you stopped by, to coax this heartfelt message - you have moved me immensely by your sincerity. Let me see if I can do something to redress your grievance ... rest assured, you shall be satiated soon! :)
September 22, 2013 at 3:11AM
Sagnik Das: Carolyn, I am speechless - I have forgotten the art of thanksgiving!!
September 23, 2013 at 8:42AM
Sagnik Das: And, as to you, Dossie - I presume my PM shall be sufficient enough ...
September 23, 2013 at 8:46AM
Gabrieltheswifter: Hey man, I'm going to be logged off for a long while and I will mostly be getting on here during the weekends. You will be sorely missed during these weeks my friend, but I really need to focus on my studies to be academically successful!
September 24, 2013 at 4:41PM
Sagnik Das: Gabriel, don't you even worry as to that - my plight is miserably akin! I can't afford to come here daily either. It's just as I had told you: We are NOT professional authors - we are students! I shall miss you dearly, my friend.
Please do take care, & .......... never lose that Heart of Gold.
September 25, 2013 at 2:07AM
Gabrieltheswifter: Sagnik, truly I am your neighbor, it might be thousands of miles away, but I am. And a friend, if I do get the chance, I would love to collaborate with you, and anytime you want to talk-- or "just pour out my heart when need induced!" as you so adequetly put it, I'm here to listen and to offer my advice, for whatever it might be worth.
they have now limited me to three messages a day to "control spam". sounds more like to me they wish me to finally concede and purchase a membership! I'm tired of the confines that they so unmercilessly throw me into, a prison of rules as it were. I still love it here though, for all the rules, kind of like Singapor.
October 9, 2013 at 11:54AM
Sagnik Das: Hah! sounds like one of those miserable days, back when I used to be a temporary member (just like you)...
"Fie, vain FS! -- Discrimination be thy name!!"
October 9, 2013 at 4:34PM
Carolyn 'Deaton' Stephens: Hey there Sagnik, I just wanted to stop in and tell you I miss you. I know it is study time once again, and I am proud of you for committing to excellence. But.... I am selfish, I do miss you. Take care and give my fondest regards to the family. Love, Carolyn
October 22, 2013 at 1:36AM
Sagnik Das: Carolyn, these infernal academics have curbed my presence much over the last few weeks, & I can't tell you how ghastly (yes, that's the exact word to sum up my plight) I feel, being tethered thus. Sigh... had only life been a wee bit easy... I miss you, my friend.
October 23, 2013 at 7:08PM
Carolyn 'Deaton' Stephens: Dear Sagnik, I look forward to your return. In the meantime, I know what it takes to do the right thing and continue to commit to your education. So I will defer to that with the deepest respect for you and abundant love. Your friend, Carolyn
October 24, 2013 at 12:52AM
Titanx9: Sagnik Das, I hope you're allotted time off for a breather. Many of us at FanStory feel bereft over the lack of your gifted contributions, and do look forward to hearing from you soon~ We miss you! Hugs, Dossie
November 27, 2013 at 5:48PM
Sagnik Das: Dossie, the mercantile avarice of this site has impelled me to quit... it pains me to confess that I can't pay; neither have I the time to dispense for reviewing indefatigably. Being a student on an annual University Scholarship, I barely manage keeping up with the necessities (let afar an elite membership!)... Hence, how fain I might wish, I could never be back again. Sigh.
Goodbye, my friend... keep as hearty and jovial as ever.
Cordially yours as always,
November 28, 2013 at 5:24PM
Alan K Pease: Sagnik: I hope you are well and not lost to us.
December 1, 2013 at 7:06PM
Sagnik Das: Sigh... I am quite well, dear sir (albeit not at the best of spirits)... things here would never be the same... so much has changed in so few days... alas, what gets lost once (presumably) is lost forever. I miss you all -- in ways the heart can't devise; gone are our heydays of glory... never to be back again.
I would yet leave no stones unturned to review your works time & again. Rest assured.

krys123: I wish and bless your future endeavors and may you ride with the wind to your back and no fence to be jumped.
