fanoffanstory: School is cancelled!!!!!!

fanoffanstory: What a day! I attended a workshop with Phillip Roy today and it was amazing!
    J. Dark: Brilliant! Did you learn lots and love it? What a great opportunity for you. :-) -
    DIS-illusioned: Oh my God, you're so lucky--Philip Roy?!! ... Um, who's he again? :-p
    :) -
fanoffanstory: I learned a ton! We had to write two poems too! My mom even let me buy two of his books, he signed them and he wrote "You are an awesome poet!" Philip Roy is the author of The Submarine Outlaw Seris and he's the author of a book called Blood Brother's in Louisbourg -
    shelley kaye: uhh.... who? :-/

    -
fanoffanstory: Philip Roy, he's a famous author -

fanoffanstory: I am at the eye doctors. I hate it when they spray that air puff stuff in your eyes. *deep breath* wish me luck
Joy Graham: I hate that one too. My eye pressure always goes sky high because the test upsets me so :( -
fanoffanstory: Same with me! I feel like a bullet is shot into my eye. Even though it was annoying, I will be able to see in two weeks, so they must know what they're doing -

fanoffanstory: Has anyone here, ever read a shakespeare story? Particulary, The Tempest or Romeo and Juliet?
Donya Quijote: A long, long time ago. Very good plays, both of them... -
adewpearl: Yes, my daughter is named after Miranda in The Tempest :-) -
Cumbrianlass: Saw Romeo and Juliet performed at the Royal Shakespeare in Stratford - part of a school trip. A long, long, long time ago. It was wonderful, though. -
fanoffanstory: I'm glad you guys liked it! I'll be performing in the Tempest, Romeo and Juliet or a Mid Summer Night's Dream. I can't wait! -
BryanOldfield: Thanks for selecting my artwork to illustrate your poem!
    Kind regards,
    Bryan -
fanoffanstory: it was my pleasure! -
venika: Yeah, I've read both of those plays a few years ago. -
venika: And I watched The Tempest being performed a couple of weeks ago. -
fanoffanstory: Wow! That's so cool. I'm doing the play the Tempest soon. I'm Calaban. -

fanoffanstory: Acting lessons soon! Comedy or Tragedy?
Gloria ....: Both young lady.:) -

fanoffanstory: I go back to school tomorrow! Oh, well! More writing in English class!
    DIS-illusioned: Well, don't sound so excited--pfft!
    :)) -

fanoffanstory: If you entered a contest before and then the contest comes back, can you enter it again?
adewpearl: You can enter the same contest as often as you please, but you have to use a brand new piece of writing each time. You can't enter a post you used before. -
    fanoffanstory: Thank you! -

fanoffanstory: I have no challenges at the moment! If anyone would like to leave me a poetic challenge, feel free!

fanoffanstory: I am so excited! I got on the fanstory main screen for being in the top 12 ranked script writers!
Twilightspire: That's awesome! Good job. -
    fanoffanstory: Thank you! -
Shirley B: Great job, Happy New Year. :) -
Gloria ....: I am so pleased for you. You go girl! -
    fanoffanstory: Thanks Everyone! -

fanoffanstory: Anymore challenges? ;)

fanoffanstory: I finished the third poem to my book! I'll post it tomorrow!

fanoffanstory: If anyone has any poetry suggestions for my book let me know. Message me, review the book, or comment.

fanoffanstory: Aw man! I was so busy with the Holiday's that the story I had written for the Kidnapped Contest I didn't get to enter. I had it all ready, I made it down to the proper word count and left it for the next day. I forgot about and when I came on I realized the contest ended. :(
redrider6612: Why didn't you post it? I never wait for the deadline if I can help it. That way I can edit my entry based on my reviews. -
fanoffanstory: I had company coming over and I didn't have time to post it! I was really busy and didn't get a chance to post it before the deadline! -
nor84: Hold onto it. The Kidnapped prompt comes back sometimes. -
fanoffanstory: Yay! I hope it does! -

fanoffanstory: WOW! What a Christmas! I recieved plenty of unicorn things, one direction stuff, an Ipad and a ski pass! THIS WAS THE BEST CHRISTMAS EVER!!!!!
shelley kaye: you're 13? and you have an ipad? when i was 13 all i had was a tv and a radio....

    -
redrider6612: They didn't have iPads when you were 13, Shelley -
fanoffanstory: My brother got one too. He's only eight! :D -
venika: I have an iPad too :) Are you a 1D fan? -
fanoffanstory: Yes! I am a dedicated Directioner! They're are my favourite band! -

fanoffanstory: Is everyone else having the BEST Christmas Eve (If you celebrate Christmas) ?

fanoffanstory: Has the ABAB contest ended yet? I entered and I'm not too sure.
shelley kaye: well, one just started today....

    -
adewpearl: yes, one started today because another had its deadline yesterday the 23rd - it takes up to 10 days to hear the results -
    fanoffanstory: Okay! Thank you! -

fanoffanstory: I wanted to enter a contest with a maximum word count of 500 and I wrote a story with 581 words. I'm trying to find some details that I can remove. :(
nor84: adverbs, adjectives, speech tags (he said) words like 'that', 'just', 'had' -
redrider6612: Examine every sentence for word economy. Take a 10 word sentence and look for ways to say the same thing in 6 words. Cut redundancies. -
redrider6612: In other words, cut that 81 words one word at a time, instead of trying to find entire sections to cut. -
nor84: Another place to cut wordiness could be something like this: Instead of 'the top of the mountain' (5 words) try 'the mountaintop' (2 words). -
fanoffanstory: I have got it down to about 514 words, but It's getting hard to eliminate or shorten things. -
fanoffanstory: YES I GOT IT DOWN TO 500 WORDS! -

fanoffanstory: So fatigue! I just played a long tirering game of floor hockey.
shelley kaye: floor hockey would be easier than ceiling hockey....

    ;-)

    -

fanoffanstory: 7days till Christmas. And 3 days until people think the world shall end. But it will not.
    expressions9: I agree. It will not. -
venika: Yeah, everyone says it will... But I don't believe that. -

fanoffanstory: Tiredness has struck me.
-_-
DIS-illusioned: Report her to the dream fairy, for striking you.
    :) -
mchapman: take it easy! It will all be there in the morning.....mary -
    J. Dark: Perhaps you need more chicken soup. :-) -
    fanoffanstory: Hehe! Thanks everyone -
    fanoffanstory: Hehe! Thanks everyone -

fanoffanstory: Off to the nursing home today! Volunteering!
DIS-illusioned: Don't let them put you to sleep. They have that power. -
    fanoffanstory: :) -

fanoffanstory: I just read one of my poems to Santa over the radio! :)
    J. Dark: Fantastic! I bet Santa was impressed. :-) -
    fanoffanstory: Thank you! -
    DIS-illusioned: We're not in Kansas anymore. -

fanoffanstory: Nahhh Nahhhh! (In a mystical tone.) That is the sound of a unicorn.

fanoffanstory: *Cough cough* What a wild cough is visiting me. How grand! (Not really.) Hope everyone is having a good day! :)

fanoffanstory: I feel like I ate too much! Today was Christmas Dinner at school! We had turkey, stuffing, corn, carrots, potatoes and bread. I was asked to write Grace to read in front of the school, I think I might post it later.
rosehill (Wendy): I hope you will grace us with it. -
DIS-illusioned: And when you write Grace, do tell her to stop by my place, along with Hope, sometime next week. Thank you.
    :) -

fanoffanstory: Not at school again. I'm still not feeling good. I hope I feel better for tomorrow, for Christmas dinner at school!

fanoffanstory: Hello. I am not at school presently because I am sick. I stinks too, because I love this day at school because we have art, we were going to do christmas math, we were going to do our birthstone projects, have a classroom debate and we have English!
Sarkems: Oh dear, get well soon. What is Christmas math? -
    J. Dark: Poor thing. Wish you better soon, fanoffanstory. :-) -
fanoffanstory: Christmas math deals with patterns, how many children santa must deliver too, order the ornaments from least to greatest. Thanks everyone. -

fanoffanstory: I just wrote a song. I might record it later, but my voice never sounds good when recorded. Oh, one other thing, I just fell down the stairs and now am experiencing a throbbing toe
    DIS-illusioned: Yay! :) ... Huh, oh? ... Aww, sorry! :-(

    :)) -
    J. Dark: Delighted to hear you are song writing but sorry about your toe. :-) -
fanoffanstory: Thanks. It feels better now. -

fanoffanstory: Have you ever written a repeating poem?

Example of what I am trying to say:

Rides and amusment of kids running by
I'm at the fair today
Cotton candy and screams and giggles galore
I'm at the fair today

I'm not sure if it's a common. I'm trying to write a poem like that and I just want to make sure it's normal.
Rob Caudle: Adewpearl writes them a lot. Check her portfolio for examples. :) -
    DIS-illusioned: Yes, they're common/normal.
Go for it, and good luck. :) -
    fanoffanstory: Thanks! -

fanoffanstory: I'm going to be on the radio! I called them about a contest and left a message! They said that my message was so well-presented that they wanted to air it!
Sally Carter: Woohhoooo. How exciting! Well done. -
DIS-illusioned: Remember that I knew you before you were famous. :-p
    :) -
fanoffanstory: Haha! How can I forget you DIS? -

fanoffanstory: I will be adding the last act of Super Babies soon. Right after school that is.
    DIS-illusioned: Sounds powerfully cute. :) -

fanoffanstory: I won't be writing much more today. For, I'm acting in a play. I play Gertrude McFuzz.
fanoffanstory: And my brother is the Cat in the Hat! -
Lady & Louis: Lovely, have fun! :) -

fanoffanstory: HELLO! My health studying and my math homework are completed. I just got back home from the towns Christmas Tree Lightings.
Twilightspire: Those are always fun. -

fanoffanstory: UGH! I have so much homework. 10 questions in math, and three tests to study for. Let me know if you guys know what the period of a terminating deciaml is.
jjstar: The period of a terminating decimal? Ugh...I hate math! -
Aaron James: The period of a terminating decimal is the measure used to describe the number of places after the decimal point where a recurring fraction repeats. So 1/5 expressed as a decimal is 0.20 exactly...it does not repeat like 1/3 would. 0.333333etc. The period of the terminating decimal is therefore 1 as the recurrence is at the first place after the decimal point. Now that I appear to know what I am talking about I would like to thank google for the help. ;) -
Rob Caudle: Why didn't I think of that! Aaron, I promise I'm going to read tonight..I've been swamped! -
    fanoffanstory: Thanks Aaron! -

fanoffanstory: is with my baby doll for my Babysitting Course. I'm taking it soon and we need to have a doll. Mine's name is Emma and she is called like a BabyBorn. It pees and poops and drinks and eats! :)
    fanoffanstory: and cries! -
DIS-illusioned: Whatever you do, make sure it doesn't grow into a teenager. :-p
    :) -
    fanoffanstory: Haha!

    -

fanoffanstory: Any ideas for writing?
    DIS-illusioned: Yes--paper, pen/pencil and some interesting thoughts. :) -
nor84: Sure. Write a story about a unicorn, since you like them. -
fanoffanstory: Thank you Nor84! Thanks DIS for that info! :) -

fanoffanstory: In English class. I just finished all my work and I have free-time!
DIS-illusioned: Good. Now, write about what you want to do. Do it. Then write about doing it. :) -

fanoffanstory: I'm writing a story! It's a fun story to write! :)
    DIS-illusioned: Glad you're having fun with it; that's the spirit! :) -
    fanoffanstory: :) -

fanoffanstory: Did anyone here, like reading this, do a multi-author book? How does it work?
jjstar: I don't know how it works, but I bet many would like to write with you..maybe contact the site? -
    fanoffanstory: Great! Thanks! -
shelley kaye: hover you mouse cursor thingy over "write" above.... and click on "multi-author book" :-)

    -
shelley kaye: p.s. .... i have many multi-author books in my portfolio.... go check them out if you want :)

    -
fanoffanstory: Hmm... I couldn't seem to find them. Can you name one of them? -

fanoffanstory: I just got my tooth pulled. Ouch!
Shirley B: Hope you feel better soon. :) -
fanoffanstory: My mouth is unfreezing right now, but it hurts. -
William Walz: Don't forget to put it under your pillow. -
fanoffanstory: I won't! When it hurts that much to get it out, I want something for it! :) -
Aaron James: You're so lucky! When you get to my age you will be pulling them all out every night and sticking them in a glass before bedtime! :O -
DIS-illusioned: Has Elton John--I mean, the tooth fairy--been by yet?
    :) -
fanoffanstory: Hahaha! Yes, the tooth fairy has come and granted me with 3 dollars! :) Score! :) -

fanoffanstory: Do you guys know how to post a picture?
Lady & Louis: D'you mean here on your profile page? I do that from my Photobucket account. It gives html code that you copy into the text box here. :) -
    fanoffanstory: okay thanks! -
jjstar: I just copy and paste or if it doesn't let you do that I right click on the pic and save as image. It goes to my download folder and then I copy and paste it from there. -
    fanoffanstory: Thank you! -

fanoffanstory: My new poem was judt finished. It will be up in a few minutes!
William Walz: Don't let Judt write it. Write it yourself! -
fanoffanstory: Oh sorry. I meant to say My new poem was just finished. -
DIS-illusioned: Good for you, fan! Another literary accomplishment. :) -

fanoffanstory: I got a 96 on my Science test and a 95 on my English test. I got two things wrong in Science and one wrong in English, (I don't understand marks.) I get my report card tomorrow. Praying for all A's, but I'll be okay with the occasional B. I'm writing a poem and so far, it's 4 pages long, would it classify as a rhyming book? Or a really long poem?
adewpearl: well, if it rhymes, it's a really long rhyming poem LOL -
fanoffanstory: Okay! That's cool! Thank you! -
DIS-illusioned: Congrats on your test scores! Wishing you the best on your grades. :) -
    jjstar: Congratulations, sweetie! -
    J. Dark: You are very clever - well done! -

fanoffanstory: Off to school! I'm getting my Science Test back... Wish me luck!
    Alexmi1984: Good luck!! :) -
    Alexmi1984: Good luck!!! :) -

fanoffanstory: In English class.
shelley kaye: better not let your english teacher see you on your phone....

    -
DIS-illusioned: 'Spag' is a real word, and can be used in a sentence.
    *Snicker* :) -

fanoffanstory: In Health class! I love when you finish all of your work!
jjstar: Uhhhmmmmm...are you on your cell during class? Don't get caught! -
fanoffanstory: No, I'm not on my cell. When we are in the computer lab, I'm usually done before class is over and I'm able to go on fanstory. -
    J. Dark: Your school sounds really cool!
    -
    fanoffanstory: Yeah it is! -

fanoffanstory: I'm very weak... I'm very sick. :(
shelley kaye: DIS is sick too.... but probably in a different way than you

    ;-)

    -
    J. Dark: Oh dear! What is the matter? Do you have the flu bug? :-( -
fanoffanstory: I have a horrible sore throat. It's cleared up a tiny bit. -
Hawaiian Mermaid: Thinking of you and hope you get well real soon. Aloha, Ginger Hawaiian Mermaid -

fanoffanstory: God bless all of the veterans and soldiers who are with us today. We are exceptionally happy to have them. The Reemmebrance ceremony was beautiful today. I enjoyed seeing the kind veterans who fought for us. :)
    DIS-illusioned: OBAMA WINS--WOOHOO!!!
    GOD BLESS AMERICA!!! :))) -

fanoffanstory: I will write until my fingertips are sore. I will write until my head can't anymore.
I will write until my head feels so heavy.
I will write for...me.

Small little song thing I just wrote.
    rosehill (Wendy): For yourself. -
William Walz: I write until the commercial is over. -

fanoffanstory: I got a new phone and it has writing apps and all I have to do is say fanstory and it brings me to my fanstory account!
DIS-illusioned: There must be a genie in that phone.
    :) -
donaldww: Can you say: "Write a sonnet" and one will pop out?
    -
fanoffanstory: I said "Write a Sonnet" and it brought me to a website called "Writing a sonnet for dummies." LOL -
shelley kaye: maybe i should google that site....

    ;-)

    -
fanoffanstory: LOL! I bet you could write a wonderful sonnet without any help! -

fanoffanstory: How many words do you think belong in a scene in a script?
rosehill (Wendy): As many as it takes to say what you want and what the characters need to say. -

fanoffanstory: Day by day I wonder: Can a writer's commitment leave them? All of my teacher's say that they have changed their minds many times before they chose what they wanted. I know what I want, I want to be involved in journilism. I want to write. Do you guys think that that will leave me in age? Just wondering. Thanks
Aaron James: Look at this way. You can be what ever you want to be if you want it bad enough. Work hard to achieve your goals and if you want them bad enough you'll get there. If someway down the line you find you want something different what have you lost in training yourself to achieve? -
    fanoffanstory: thanks aaron! -
Lady & Louis: Some people change their minds about what they want to do, yes. Sometimes it's just shifting between interests. I'm not what I'd call a committed writer - I'd never want to do it professionally - but there will be years when writing is my main focus, and then it'll change to something else, be it digital art or sewing or knitting or whatever. I'm in that state of flux right now, doing a lot less writing than over the last few years. I don't think it's a matter of age but just of individual people. -
Lady & Louis: PS I've been writing on and off since childhood, so well over forty years. -
    fanoffanstory: thank you! -
    J. Dark: I have been writing since I was eight years old and although I have always been busy with employment and having children the passion for writing has never left me. Sometimes it has dulled over the years due to other commitments but the passion for writing always returns. :-) -
    fanoffanstory: Thanks so much! -

fanoffanstory: Happy Halloween Everyone! I'm about to go to school! We're going to have a Halloween dance and Halloween activities! I can't wait! Candy! Yum Yum!
DIS-illusioned: Eat candy till your tummy aches ... then bursts! Then write about it.
    Happy Halloween--woohoo!
    :)) -
fanoffanstory: :) I think my tummy did burst. I'll have to start writing. -

fanoffanstory: I got picked to read a poem at our school's Rememberance Day ceremony! I asked if I could write it, and they said yes! I'm so excited!
    Alexmi1984: Congratulations!!! :) -
    J. Dark: That's brilliant!! Well done :-) -
    jojo1127: Congratulations. -
    adewpearl: that is fantastic!! -
    DIS-illusioned: Just remember it's about remembrance. :) -
fanoffanstory: Thanks everyone! You all are so kind! I wrote it and my English teacher loves it! -

fanoffanstory: when you give your cat a fake mouse that actually squeaks you wouldn't believe how insane he goes!
William Walz: The cat or the mouse? -
Joy Graham: It's the catnip... -
rosehill (Wendy): Wow, just think if you gave your cat a real mouse that actually squeaks! -
DIS-illusioned: Tom gets that way over Jerry all the time. :) -
jojo1127: My cat's attentions span is so short, this toy will only capture his attention for 2seconds. -
rosehill (Wendy): Guess I could always sponsor a Haiku contest. Then I would be absolutely certain to finish out of the money. -

fanoffanstory: FGHHMB.JJNM,,.MNBV. Is any one else having a tired day when they just want to lay they're head on the keyboard? My cat woke me up this morning! Claws and all! LOL! Writing poetry anyway!

fanoffanstory: Hello, my fanstorian friends! I am home from school early. We were allowed to go home since the whole afternoon we will just be watching the movie 'Insidious' in the gym. Someone inspire me with a poetry idea!
Joy Graham: OK here's a thought. Write about a witch that has a wart on her nose. She wants to look like a normal person and tries to get rid of the wart. -
DIS-illusioned: Write something that rhymes ...
    but just not on crimes

Enjoy the rest of your day! :) -
fanoffanstory: Thanks Joy! That's a great idea! It will be up in a bit! Thanks again! -

fanoffanstory: Hey! :) :) :) :) Just got back from school! :) :) :)
    DIS-illusioned: Go do your homework.
    :) -
fanoffanstory: I didn't have any! Well, tonight I do! 2 tests tomorrow -

fanoffanstory: Writing poetry before I have to go to bed. I hope all of you Fanstorians are doing well! :)

fanoffanstory: In English class! :)
adewpearl: Do you get in trouble if the teacher catches you texting? -
shelley kaye: not if the teacher doesn't catch them LOL!

    -
fanoffanstory: He said that since I finished all my work I could spend the rest of the period doing wjatever I want! Fanstory was my first instict! -

fanoffanstory: Having a good day? I hope so! You are wonderful Fanstorians! I am very happy to be apart of this site.
Joy Graham: Yep, my day is going pretty good. Thanks for asking :) -
    fanoffanstory: No problem! -
    J. Dark: And we are very happy to have you here! :-) -
fanoffanstory: Thank you Mrs. Dark! -

fanoffanstory: Inspiration can come from anywhere!

fanoffanstory: poetry ideas anyone? :)
Meta~Mark: pumpkins and goblins oh my :) -
DIS-illusioned: Mmm...write about poetic things that are very poetic, but not too-too poetic--just poetic enough. :) -

fanoffanstory: Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Hope your having a great time! How are you spending your Thanksgiving? I'm spending mine writing poems for my family!
DIS-illusioned: Very sweet of you. I hope your family enjoys the poems, and you all have/had a wonderfully happy Thanksgiving. Enjoy! :) -
fanoffanstory: Thank you! I hope you had a lovely thanksgiving all the same! -

fanoffanstory: Unicorns can't fly, I can't fly. Therefore I am a unicorn!
DIS-illusioned: The most logical statement presented to the world in eons.
Oh, what shall we do without these profound insights?
    :) -
    fanoffanstory: Haha! -

fanoffanstory: Writing some more. Even though I already posted my 2nd poem of the day. :(
Bellydanser: Ah, the sign of a true writer. Carry on. -
DIS-illusioned: Yes, write on! That part is limitless. :) -

fanoffanstory: Writing poetry! I love writing!

fanoffanstory: Happy Birthday Mom! Love ya lots!

fanoffanstory: Happy Birthday Daddy Directioner!
DIS-illusioned: I think...'Daddy Directioner' should change his moniker.
And many happy returns to him! :) -

fanoffanstory: Always be yourself, unless you can be a unicorn. Then always be a unicorn.
Lady & Louis: LOL! Not a bad idea - as long as you're not where you might be hunted. -
    fanoffanstory: Yes -
DIS-illusioned: What, only one corn ('uni'corn)? I'd rather be a field of maze, thank you.
    :) -
    fanoffanstory: :) -

fanoffanstory: Had fun today! Was on the tube! Didn't have that much time to write more poems. I'll write some later!

fanoffanstory: my first 6 star poem! eeeek! Thanks for the great reviews everyone!

fanoffanstory: I'm kind of new to fanstory and don't know everything yet- so does anyone know if a contest is cancelled for any reason and you paid member dollars to get in it, would you get your member dollars back?
Grammies: To the right at the top under INFO you can post a query and you will get better feed back on a specific contest and if you are eligible for money back. -
nor84: You post a query under "Contact Us" at the top of the page. I've never known a contest to be cancelled though. -
fanoffanstory: Thank you, just wondering for future reference, just incase. Thanks! -
Ashley Scott: What sometimes happens, is a contest might not meet the required entries before a deadline. At that point, the contest isn't cancelled, but is reposted with a new deadline date. -

fanoffanstory: Did well in the stuck in the elevator prompt! Didn't come out with a win but I got 8 votes! Yay!
Joy Graham: That is awesome! Way to go :) -
DIS-illusioned: I'd rather get one vote, but win, than a hundred votes and tie or come in a close second ... *Sigh*
    Congrats though! :) -
    fanoffanstory: :) thanks! -

fanoffanstory: Can't wait until the results for the Rhyming Nonsense Poetry Prompt comes out!
    DIS-illusioned: So ... Well? ...
    :) -
fanoffanstory: Well I didn't get any votes except I had fun writing the poet -

fanoffanstory: I like making advice columns but in someone else's shoes. Any celebrity ideas
    DIS-illusioned: Charlie Sheen's 'Anger Management'. :) -
fanoffanstory: Okay! Thanks for the idea! -

fanoffanstory: I hope Duke's Advice isn't cancelled. :)
fanoffanstory: The deadline was reached. Is the contest cancelled because there is only one entrant? Or are they still excepting more? -
Anastajiya: The contest started again and they are waiting for entrants. -
    DIS-illusioned: If it is, try the Baron's, Lord's, Prince's, or Earl's--all excellent counselors. :) -
Ashley Scott: If it had been Clint's advice, I would've jumped all over that contest...just don't insult his mule :) -
    fanoffanstory: thanks -

fanoffanstory: Can someone tell me what happened to the nonsense poetry contest. I was going to enter today but I can't find it. Not evn in the voting booth
Joy Graham: it's probably full and just waiting for the deadline before it goes to the voting booth -
    fanoffanstory: Oh thank you. -
shelley kaye: if you go up to "contests" above and click on "member-created contests", it shows all that are still open :)

    -
redrider6612: You could begin your own contest of the same name, just add "2" -
adewpearl: Yes, all the spots were reserved as of yesterday, but it doesn't go to voting until tomorrow afternoon. You need to keep track of how many people have already reserved spots, and if it looks like a contest is filling up fast, as this one did, reserve early. -
fanoffanstory: Yes I did reserve a spot yesterday and I just forgot about it. Thanks everyone -
Joy Graham: If you have a reserved spot you can still get your entry in. It will be in the "contests" part when you go to "write" and post your post. -
fanoffanstory: Yeah I know, but thanks anyway -

fanoffanstory: I AM SO EXCITED
    redrider6612: do tell... -
fanoffanstory: I tied for first in a contest and I'm really excited! Thanks everyone for your votes! -

fanoffanstory: Poetry ideas
    DIS-illusioned: Yes...write some poems. :) -
    Mike Battaglia: pondering poems
    scratching head with a pencil
ow! That kind of hurts -
Grammies: Tell me if you write poetry doesn't the idea come from within or do you look around you and select topics of interest from life or nature or is it feelings comming to you in words? Just like prose I feel some days stories come to me very easily and others not so easy. Just pondering! -
    fanoffanstory: yes! thank you! -

fanoffanstory: Any ideas for new poetry?
shelley kaye: write a rain poem. similar to a rain dance. just written instead of performed.

    -
Grammies: Shelley it must be hot where you are also. We're having a heat wave here as well. Yes dance and write for rain! -
DIS-illusioned: Whatever you do ... don't write on old ideas/themes.
    :) -
    fanoffanstory: thanks everyone -

fanoffanstory: BE HAPPY!
    DIS-illusioned: ... because??? ...
    :) -
fanoffanstory: Being happy will keep your brains moving to write! And if people write so I can read I'll be happy! :) :) :) -
